Timeform View

The class-dropping WOOHOO has yet to win off a mark this high but she makes most appeal in a thin race. Our Absent Friends and Midnight Lir lead the charge for minor money.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Our Absent Friends traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Never Dark has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 3 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Woohoo (IRE)
Course winner whose latest success came at Musselburgh in April and was unlucky not to add to that there in June. Produced a below-par effort at Hamilton 3 weeks later and may fare better dropped in grade here.
Marajito
Came on plenty for her reappearance when defying an easing mark at Ripon (5f) at the end of May, asserting late on. Failed to back that up at Thirsk and may again prove vulnerable from her current mark.
Who Wants Me (IRE)
Habitual slow starter who got the rub of the green when opening her account in 6-runner handicap at Carlisle (7f, good to firm, 11/1) 11 days ago, getting run through on inner. Drops to the minimum trip for the first time and isn't an obvious type to follow up with tongue strap discarded.
Water Of Leith (IRE)
Has won twice over C&D. Gained reward for a string of consistent displays when ending losing run at Wolverhampton (6f) in March. Respectable fifth of 6 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good) 31 days ago. Place claims.
Our Absent Friends (IRE)
Course winner who had a productive spell at Newcastle over the winter, winning in December. Ran best turf race this season when third at Catterick just less than 2 weeks ago. He remains well treated on old form.
Never Dark
Fourteen runs since last win in 2024 and he struggled for consistency last season. Best watched on return unless the market speaks in his favour.
Midnight Lir (IRE)
Losing run stretches back to 2023 but has gone with more spark with the blinkers/refitted tongue strap when making the frame on his last 2 starts. Entitled to be in the mix once more.
