Timeform View

The addition of Danny Tudhope could see keen-going ZEBRA STAR notch a third course success. A solid case can be made for Off Spin, Shifter and Recobella, while Mr Withington is another to note in a tricky handicap.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Recobella traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Mr Withington has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 3 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Mr Withington (FR)
Maiden finished third in a higher grade on the all-weather this time last year. Shaped a bit better than the result on return to Newcastle/final start for Paul Robson latest. One to consider on the back of an interesting trainer change.
Off Spin (IRE)
Continued run of good form with solid third in C&D handicap latest. Wasn't ideally placed on that occasion and is entitled to go closer this time.
Glasses Up (USA)
Veteran remains winless since a course hat-trick last spring. Hasn't looked like capitalising on falling mark of late, for all he was too keen over C&D on most recent start.
Recobella (FR)
Went close to doubling her tally at Doncaster on penultimate start. Left with plenty to do following a slow start in this grade at Hamilton subsequently, and she's probably worth another chance with Billy Loughnane taking over.
Uncle Liam (IRE)
Opened his account in determined fashion in this grade at Hamilton last month. Since found things tougher off 3 lb higher in slightly better race there, and he races off the same mark here.
Shifter
C&D winner confirmed herself back in good heart when chasing home a thriving 3-y-o over C&D last time. Still on a handy mark and should go well in bid to end long losing run.
Zebra Star (IRE)
3 lb lower than when successful over C&D this time last year. Back in form but paid the price for her typical early exuberance when fourth over C&D latest. Addition of Danny Tudhope may well bring out the best in her.
Manbearpig (IRE)
Lightly-raced 3-y-o failed to come on for his reappearance when well-held fourth at Southwell (1½m) last time. This trip at least more in keeping with his pedigree (half-brother to 9.5f winner) and first-time blinkers now added.
Romeo's Guardian
€48,000 son of Sergei Prokofiev. Gelded since showing little in trio of 6f starts in the spring. Now makes handicap debut over markedly longer trip in first-time cheekpieces. Yard doesn't saddle many runners here, and this one needs a close look in the betting.
Sanny Doo
Steps up to 1¼m for the first time having shown little to date. Uncle Liam the more obvious chance of stable's runners. Engaged 6.39 Carlisle Saturday.
