Useful hurdler TRIPOLI FLYER opened his account on the Flat in good style at Kempton on Thursday and can defy a penalty. Spooky Wooky and Premier could be the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Tripoli Flyer (IRE)
Made his first start in handicaps on the level a winning one at Kempton (1½m) on Thursday. Carries a penalty and remains very well treated on his useful hurdles form (third in a listed handicap at the Punchestown Festival from a mark in the 140s).
Dino Bellagio
A winner round here and at Chester in 2025. Well beaten both starts this season, though shaped as if in good nick under a change of tactics back at Chester last month. Has edged back further down the weights.
John Galt (FR)
Has looked a shade quirky on occasions but no crabbing his attitude when opening his account at Leicester (1½m) in May. Failed to see out the 2m trip at Newbury last month and can bounce back here.
Baltic
Won 5 in a row for the Charlton stable in 2023/2024. Lightly raced and below form since. Best watched until he shows signs of a revival.
Senor Cortez (IRE)
Dual winner when trained by Robert Eddery last year. Ran well on yard debut when third at Lingfield in March but has been tailed off both outings since. Easy to look elsewhere unless the market speaks otherwise.
Premier (FR)
Ran best race on the Flat when second of 6 in handicap (5/1) at Ffos Las (1½m, soft) 31 days ago. A winner over hurdles who now steps up in trip in this sphere and has to be respected on the back of that last effort.
Spooky Wooky (IRE)
Placed on his first 2 starts in handicaps last autumn, shaping as if ahead of his mark, before possibly finding conditions too much when tailed off at Musselburgh when last seen. Fitness has to be taken on trust but is of interest on return.
Shushi
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who hasn't yet gone on in handicaps. Takes another slight ease in grade but has a bit of work to do making the switch to tapeta.
