Timeform View

A number with claims but GAME POINT cemented the positive start made in this sphere when finishing second at Limerick 6 weeks ago and with the return to forecast quicker ground in his favour, he could be the answer under Jack Kennedy. Astelia, Firebrand and Luker's Tipple are others with solid form claims, whilst How's Ellie is a hurdling newcomer for Willie Mullins to keep an eye on.

Timeform Comments

Firebrand (GER)
Ended 2025 with a pair of placed efforts over hurdles and, following 7 months off, typically gave his running when second in a 22-runner Punchestown maiden (2m) 4 weeks ago. Usual tongue strap goes back on and no surprise to see him firmly in the mix again.
Cocofred (IRE)
Well held in a bumper/maiden hurdle earlier this year but showed much more when fourth of 15 in a Tramore maiden (2m) 37 days ago. In excellent hands and he appeals as the type to do better again, not least in handicaps.
Glengarriff (IRE)
Showed ability on only one of his 5 Flat starts and offered little both starts over hurdles 6 months apart.
Lengaruka (FR)
Born To Sea gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including French hurdlers Norathir and Louvetot. Dam 11f/1½m winner on Flat in France. Betting can guide on debut.
Luker's Tipple (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who took his total of placed efforts in this sphere to 9 when third in a Limerick maiden (2m) 39 days ago, holding every chance. No reason why he won't give his running again but he's become expensive to follow.
Ozark's Walk (IRE)
Showed fair form on 3 of his 4 starts in bumpers but well held all 3 starts over hurdles last season. Handicaps promise to be more his bag in this sphere.
Sunny Dude (IRE)
Modest maiden on the Flat and well beaten on hurdles debut at Ballinrobe in May.
Tellyouwhat (IRE)
Kingston Hill gelding who showed nothing starting out in a tongue strap when pulled up on hurdles debut at Limerick in May.
Finjimk (IRE)
Sumbal gelding who failed to complete both starts in Irish points and offered little on Rules/bumper debut at Hexham (2m) 23 days ago. Passed over on hurdles bow.
Game Point (IRE)
Fairly useful maiden at his best on the Flat and bright start over hurdles with a hood fitted, second of 18 in maiden at Limerick (2m, soft) 39 days ago. Forecast quicker ground here should be in his favour and unlikely we've seen all he has to offer.
Astelia (IRE)
Back on track after 6 months off when second at Down Royal (17.4f) in May and jumped much better under a positive ride when filling the same spot in mares handicap at Ballinrobe (2m) 6 weeks ago. Likely to play her part again.
How's Ellie (IRE)
Went backwards from a mildly encouraging debut when fifth of 6 in bumper at Tramore (2m, soft, 6/1) in November. However, she's in top hands and hails from a good jumping family so no surprise to see her do better now attentions switch to hurdles.
Poetic Parable (IRE)
Poet's Word mare. Dam (c109/h113) 3m hurdle winner. Starts out for a stable in good form and worth a precautionary market check for clues.
Dadou Part Two (IRE)
Showed nothing in a Cork bumper in March and she's best watched with a hood applied for hurdles debut.
Pretty Wild (IRE)
Getaway filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Marshalled, stayed 3m, and fairly useful 2m hurdle winner Hands On. Betting can provide a useful guide ahead of debut.
