Timeform View

VIETNORM has scored over hurdles since doubling up on the Flat in May and can extend his winning spree to 4 now back on the level. Resdev Time shapes as if she may benefit from this further step up in trip and headgear and is second choice ahead of Keep It Classic.

Timeform Comments

Picaro
Modest maiden. Cheekpieces on first time (retained), creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, soft) 25 days ago. Remains unexposed for a good stable.
Vietnorm (IRE)
Returned from a gelding operation to win handicaps here and at Beverley (1¼m, good to firm) in May. Switched to hurdles to complete a hat-trick in Market Rasen juvenile last month. Can make it 4 in a row back on the Flat.
Fairydale (IRE)
Maiden who has failed to beat a rival in 3 outings this year.
Keep It Classic
Showed much improved form stepped up further in trip when close second at Haydock (11.5f) in May. Respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) 20 days ago. Cheekpieces worn of late left off, first-time tongue tie on.
Resdev Time
One of her best efforts when third of 6 in handicap at Beverley (1¼m, good to firm) 13 days ago, staying on after not travelling with much fluency. Steps up in trip again with cheekpieces also added. Considered.
Hansteen
Well beaten in 3 qualifying runs at up to 1m. Significantly up in trip for handicap debut after 3 months off. The betting should help guide to expectations.
Star Of Emerald (FR)
Rather laboured when 11 lengths fourth on Catterick handicap debut (1½m, good to firm) in May. Well beaten on soft ground at Ayr with a visor added since. Blinkers tried now. Too soon to write off but he needs improvement.
Riddikulus
Beaten upwards of 7½ lengths in all 4 handicap starts this year. Needs to find improvement.
