Timeform View

MIDNIGHT MEDIA sets the standard on ratings and is taken to open her account. Recent course winner Mythical Isle can go well again in his follow up bid, while Splinterwood is an interesting sort now stepping into handicaps.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Manton Road traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Implied Volatility (IRE)
Winless in 10 starts and was again well held back from a 5-month break here last month. Will only be of interest if the market speaks in his favour.
King Of Speed (IRE)
A 4-time C&D winner who generally gives his running on the all-weather. Has to bounce back from a lesser effort on turf last time.
Mythical Isle (IRE)
Finally got off the mark in 10-runner classified event over 7f here 34 days ago. Steps back up in trip but has to be respected back in handicap company.
Splinterwood
Due Diligence gelding who has shown a bit in novice events. Makes his return after 5 months off and looks the type to do better in handicaps for good yard.
Seconds Count
Placed twice when with William Haggas last year. Showed more than on stable debut when fourth over C&D on return in June but took a backward step at Chepstow 2 weeks later. Needs to find more.
Will Be King (IRE)
Fairly useful performer at best whose last success came in 2020. Runner-up in classified company over C&D on reappearance after a 31-month layoff but wasn't in the same form in Dundalk handicap next time. Will remains vulnerable for win purposes.
Manton Road
Form has tailed off since the early part of 2025, tumbling in the weights as a result, though returned to form in a C&D classified event 20 days ago, finishing with running left after meeting trouble. Steps back into a handicap.
Lhebayeb (GER)
Struggles for consistency nowadays but, with a hood reapplied, scored in a classified event at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in March. Has followed that with a few below-par efforts and has work to do. The cheekpieces go on for the first time here.
Lady Delila (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who made the frame in 3 classified events on the tapeta earlier this year for Iain Jardine. Wasn't disgraced on yard debut but has work to do back in a handicap.
Celebrating Ethel (IRE)
C&D winner who got the job done in a classified event at this course (9.5f) in March but has found life tougher since. Fitted with a first-time visor and market best guide.
Midnight Media
Showed much improved form when second of 11 in maiden at this course (9.5f) 8 days ago, though not ideally placed in race that tested speed. Sets the standard on ratings back in a handicap.
Starakova
Course winner in April (7f) but seemed stretched by the 1f longer trip on softer ground at Windsor next time. Remains to be seen if this trip is what she wants.
Crown The Future (IRE)
Landed the odds (10/11) on nursery debut at this course (7f) in November for Jack Morland but hasn't really kicked on since, racing freely on yard debut when seventh over C&D when last seen in March. Has the headgear discarded on return.
