TURKU has few miles on the clock and can open his account on first handicap start for a yard with whom fitness is rarely an issue. Primo Lara is expected to bounce back with more luck here and Galaxy Wonder should be in the fight for minor money too.

Timeform Comments

Post Rider
Won at Newmarket (1m) last October and showed more like her true self following a recent pipe opener when third of 8 at Goodwood (1m, heavy) last month. Turned in a below-par effort at Bath just 5 days ago and must now improve with the cheekpieces back on.
Primo Lara (IRE)
Stopped the slide with the blinkers added when second at Nottingham in June. His latest run at Salisbury (9.9f, 4/1) can be excused as he didn't get a chance to open up until too late. Is well treated at present and market support would be significant.
Phone Tag
Three wins from 8 runs last year, the latest over 9f at Newmarket in October. Probably needed run on return there in May and now drops back in grade. NON RUNNER.
Serious Look (IRE)
3-time C&D winner in 2025 and returned with a further course success (8.6f) in March. Seemingly undone by a rise in the weights back over C&D later that same month and is probably best watched after a 3-month break.
Oman (IRE)
Versatile C&D winner in December who added to that in decisive fashion at Goodwood (9f) in June. Failed to make an impact back up in trip at Chester last month and remains well treated on old form. The cheekpieces are left off here.
Barry's Boy (IRE)
Made a fine seasonal reappearance when landing 1m Newcastle handicap in March. Failed to repeat that both starts since and has each-way claims at best.
Sea The Light (IRE)
Winless since his debut but he resumed from 7 months off with a solid seventh (first-time blinkers) in handicap at Newcastle (1¼m) in May. Ran a stinker on the turf with the cheekpieces back on at Ffos Las the following month. Has the headgear discarded and market may be best guide.
Galaxy Wonder (IRE)
C&D winner who's done well since joining this yard, winning at this course (8.6f) before following up at Bath (1m). Good runner-up efforts next 2 starts and wasn't totally disgraced when fifth at Goodwood last time. Entitled to be in the mix again.
Joseph
Successful twice over 1¼m at Lingfield on the all-weather this year, latest in April. Proved to be a disappointment when down the field at Kempton in May. Likely to find a few too good again.
Imola (IRE)
All 3 wins have come this season, her latest 2 over C&D in February and then following up when next seen in June. Wasn't seen to maximum effect when creditable fourth of 13 in handicap at this course (8.6f) 20 days ago. Has to enter calculations once more.
Guitar Solo
Lightly-raced maiden who has one standout effort when making the running when sixth at Newbury in May. Failed to see out the markedly longer trip when last of 5 on handicap debut at Windsor (11.4f, good to firm) 14 days ago. The switch to the all-weather needs to bring out improvement.
Turku (IRE)
Showed promise in 3 all-weather novice events at the end of last year, progressing with each run. His form reads quite well and he makes plenty of appeal for these connections on handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces.
Harbour Vision
Has won 11 times at this course, recording back-to-back successes over 7f here earlier in the year. Turned in just a respectable effort back here (7f) 8 days ago. Significantly up in trip but likely to find it tougher in this grade.
