Timeform View

A few of these arrive with a question mark against them so this looks a good opportunity for FALLACIOUS PROMISE to gain a deserved breakthrough success off the same mark as when a good C&D third last time out. Both Moravian (second choice) and Whazzimo could take a step forward now stepping into handicap company for the first time, while Athenian Spirit is another to factor in if, as expected, building on his recent Doncaster run after an absence.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Fallacious Promise traded at a low of 2.00 and Betfair SP of 5.20 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Ernie Mccrew (IRE)
Son of Galileo Gold who again showed nothing when last of 7 on handicap debut at Chepstow (1m) 3 days ago. Much more needed on polytrack debut.
Whazzimo
Has hinted at promise in his 3 runs, ninth of 11 in novice at Bath 23 days ago. This longer trip promises to suit so not out of things now handicapping.
Athenian Spirit (IRE)
Still a maiden but has proved consistent on the all-weather since handicapping, third at Wolverhampton (7f) in February. Should strip sharper for recent thirteenth at Doncaster (6f) after 4 months off last time. Possibilities.
Wild Rosie
Debut fourth at Salisbury for Owen Burrows last summer. Good sixth at Newmarket (1m) for current yard in May but only eleventh of 14 in handicap at Yarmouth (7f) since. More required on polytrack debut.
Fallacious Promise
Yet to score but he arrives in very good nick, third of 10 in handicap over C&D 32 days ago when not ideally placed. Expected to be bang there off an unchanged mark.
Action Reaction
Little to shout about in her 5 runs, beating only one in handicap at Windsor in May. Drops back in trip with blinkers and tongue strap added.
Moravian (IRE)
Supremacy filly took a step forward on her third run with a staying-on fifth of 8 in 6f novice on turf here 18 days ago. Can do better still on her handicap debut upped to 1m.
Henfield
Lightly-raced maiden. Only eighth of 10 in classified event over 1¼m on turf here 18 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for her polytrack debut.
Laurasia
Lightly-raced maiden who posted a good fourth of 10 in handicap at Windsor (1m) 14 days ago. No forlorn hope off the same mark.
Ruiz
Maiden who again proved too free when sixth of 10 in 1¼m classified event here 18 days ago. Others appeal more.
