Timeform View

DREAM DEAL left the distinct impression he'd have pushed Hover On The Wind very close with a clear passage when the pair met over C&D 8 days ago and may well be up to proving the point on these revised terms. Betweenthesticks was close up in that same race and also rates a live player from a handy draw.

Timeform Comments

Hover On The Wind (IRE)
8-y-o who can be rather in and out but he picked up well under a patient ride when bagging 8-runner C&D handicap 8 days ago (Betweenthesticks/Dream Deal behind). Player if backing that up under a 5 lb penalty.
Betweenthesticks
Started the season in top form, winning at Wolverhampton and over C&D (good; made all) in April. Back to that sort of form reverting to positive tactics when dead-heating for second with Dream Deal over C&D 8 days ago and he's well drawn to go forward again here.
Storm Call (IRE)
Finally off the mark for this yard in first-time blinkers at Redcar in October. However, lightly raced and not threatened since, off further 3 months prior to finishing fourth of 5 at Catterick (5f, firm) 2 weeks ago. Does find herself back on last winning mark at least. Visor replaces blinkers.
Showtime Mahomes
Confirmed return to form in race run to suit when successful at Southwell (6f) in January. Never fully fired in trio of all-weather starts thereafter during the winter but returns from 4 months off with his yard firmly amongst the winners. Draw could have been kinder, though.
Dream Deal
Capitalised on a sliding mark at Beverley (5f) on penultimate start and looked unlucky not to have gone closer (possibly follow up with a clear passage) when second over C&D last week. Yet to defy a mark in the 60's but that indicates he's clearly capable.
Dandy Dinmont (IRE)
Showed form akin to last season's best when narrowly regaining winning thread at Beverley (5f) in May but hasn't replicated that in 2 outings since. Others preferred back up in class.
Sea Her Excel
Seen to good effect when beating a subsequent winner from the front at Wetherby (5.5f) 2 starts back and she couldn't replicate that from 6 lb higher when fifth at Windsor (5f) 22 days ago. Widest draw makes things tougher again.
Davorge Nation (IRE)
Made second nursery start a winning one at Musselburgh in August but ended 2-y-o season on a below-par note and offered little on back of a breathing operation when last of 6 at Leicester 4 weeks ago. This ought to reveal more.
Brave Empire (IRE)
Hasn't won for a long time but took a step back in the right direction with a tongue tie refitted when fourth of 16 in handicap at Doncaster (6f) last month. Potentially thrown in if he can build on that back at the minimum trip with a first-time hood reached for.
Cheerleader
Successful at a huge price on yard debut at Redcar (5f) last spring and proved that no fluke when following up at Catterick. Lightly raced since and shaped as if needing the run after 10 months off (also had second breathing operation) at Thirsk in June. Stable landed this 12 months ago.
