Timeform View

With The Fixer's participation in considerable doubt (declared here on Monday), this is best left to TOMARLO, who has shaped promisingly on both starts for current connections and this return to 6f promises to be in his favour. Of the rest, Mintana has a wide stall to overcome but she could well feature if getting the breaks.

Timeform Comments

The Fixer (IRE)
Inconsistent sort who returned to form from out of the blue when successful on return at this track (5f) 9 days ago. Well drawn but no guarantee to be in same form under 5-lb penalty. Engaged 6.30 here Monday.
Crown Dreams
Yet to show much in handicaps and a very lengthy absence makes him an easy swerve despite a much-reduced mark. Headgear left off.
Fancy Dancer
Three-time winner up to 6f for Ollie Sangster last season (including over C&D) but has regressed for her new yard, tailed off at Bath last week.
Tomarlo
Offered little in 3 starts for Barry Brennan early this year but was the subject of a gamble and shaped as if back in form when fourth of 8 here (5.1f) on yard debut in May. Shaped similarly when third at Chepstow since and this return to 6f promises to suit. Worth chancing.
Lifeguard
No better than mid-division in 3 starts for Andrew Balding last year and has beaten just one rival in 3 handicaps for current yard (had breathing operation prior to latest). Back down in trip.
Unique Procedure
Well held in turf maidens/novice in recent months. Needs this switch to all-weather/handicap company to prove transformative. Usual hood discarded.
Mintana
Resumed winning ways at Lingfield in February. Below that level in handicaps since but made the placings when third at this track (7f) 5 weeks ago. Wide stall to overcome back sprinting.
Maury (IRE)
After 5 months off, showed improved form when opening account on all-weather at Lingfield in March. However, has reverted to racing freely all 3 starts since, including in a reapplied hood last time. Back sprinting but others preferred.
Conquest Of Power
Step back in the right direction when third of 10 in classified event over C&D in March. Below that level the last twice though and quickly returns to the all-weather. Headgear discarded.
No News (IRE)
Dual 7f Kempton winner earlier in career. Isn't easy to catch right but probably needed the run after 8 months off when down the field at Southwell (7f) in May. Headgear back on for this return to sprinting.
Power Cut
Big prices and little to draw from his first 3 starts but wasn't seen to best effect when sixth of 10 on handicap debut at Lingfield (6f) 10 weeks ago, left with too much to do. One to keep an eye on should the market speak in his favour.
