Timeform View

The opener can go the way of QUANTUM SWIFT having run to a fair level in her 3 starts so far. With the return to this longer trip promising to suit, she gets the vote ahead of Jazzy Bay who drops back down in distance, while Romidijo could also be in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Romidijo could be expected to race prominently. Of those in the front half of the betting forecast, Quantum Swift might be well positioned in a slowly run affair: Of the better-fancied horses, Jazzy Bay is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Quantum Swift
Showed ability in each of her 3 starts in the spring, not seeming ideally suited by the drop back to 5f when fourth of 10 in maiden at Leicester in May on latest outing. Appealing candidate for nurseries returned to this trip.
Romidijo
Improved from debut when third in maiden over this C&D in May, despite again flashing her tail. Tough ask in the Woodcote at Epsom next time, but got back on track when fourth of 13 in maiden at Yarmouth 12 days ago. Could go well now into a nursery.
Cavan Lady
Bit of promise first time up when third of 5 in a Goodwood seller (5f) last month. Ran to a similar level when fourth of 5 in maiden at Ffos Las 3 weeks ago, though didn't look the easiest of rides. Goes up in trip as she makes a quick switch to nurseries.
Jazzy Bay (IRE)
Some encouragement when mid-field over C&D on debut and built on that effort when third of 5 in seller at Leicester (7f) later in May. Raced too keenly back at Leicester last time, so he merits consideration as he heads into nurseries returned to 6f.
Targa (IRE)
£105,000 purchase at the breeze-ups but hasn't made much impact in her 3 races to date, never a threat when fourth of 5 in maiden at Brighton (5.3f, good) 16 days ago. Could be capable of better now contesting a nursery.
The Kalonji Man
Well held in a trio of starts during the spring, eighth of 10 in maiden at Bath (5.7f) when last seen in April (has been gelded since). Blinkers reached for as he makes nursery debut.
Postcard
Not much encouragement so far, having her third run when well-beaten sixth of 10 in maiden at Leicester (5f) in May. Needs to leave previous efforts well behind fitted with a tongue strap for nursery bow.
