Timeform View

An entry in the Group 2 Lilly Langtry at Glorious Goodwood suggests ALSHERA is well regarded and she can make it 2-2 8 months on from Wolverhampton. Marianita made a promising start to her career when fourth at Newbury in the spring and can give the selection most to do ahead of Kashooda, another who showed plenty on debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Alshera traded at a high of 2.42 and Betfair SP of 2.38 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Alshera (IRE)
Sea The Stars filly who had a now useful sort back in third when making a winning start to her career at Wolverhampton (9.5f) last November. Holds an entry in a Group 2 at Glorious Goodwood next month and if she's to justify that engagement she should be up to defying a penalty here.
Crack Of Thunder
Well held in a Worcester bumper and Wolverhampton maiden.
Skittish
Runner-up on the second of 3 bumper starts but the form is nothing special. Blinkered for Flat debut.
Stopherandgo (IRE)
Struggled in low-grade handicaps over jumps for Kevin Pickard last season and big outsider on belated Flat debut.
Tide Lines
25/1, offered something to work on amidst greenness when fourth of 5 in maiden at Catterick (1½m, good to firm) on belated debut 77 days ago.
Baba Ganoush
Nathaniel filly. Sister to 1¼m winner Stavraetos, closely related to 11f-2m winner Caprelo. Dam maiden. A watching brief is advised on debut unless the betting strongly hints otherwise.
Bintwafaa (IRE)
€460,000 half-sister to high-class 1¼m-14.5f winner Jan Brueghel and Irish Derby winner Sovereign. Hooded and badly in need of experience when fifth of 6 in maiden at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in May. Up in trip. Open to improvement.
Blue Hill
18/1, fifth of 8 in maiden at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) on debut 20 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Needs to have come on a lot.
Cracking Beauty
18/1 eleventh of 14 in novice at Lingfield (7f) on debut in November. This significantly longer trip will suit on breeding.
Kashooda
Promising third of 13 in maiden (15/8) at Lingfield (1¼m, all-weather) on debut 34 days ago. Should have more to offer for top connections.
Make A Splash (IRE)
40/1, green and always behind on debut at Goodwood (1¾m, good to firm) 19 days ago. Down in trip.
Marianita (IRE)
Shaped encouragingly when fourth of 14 in maiden at Newbury (1¼m, good) on debut 12 weeks ago. Looks sure to improve.
Salve Allegra (FR)
33/1 when well beaten on C&D debut 28 days ago.
