  2. Nevermindtherain (IRE)

  3. Churchill Bond

Timeform View

Several of these hold Group 1 entries, including MARGOT MAE, whose Leopardstown third has been well advertised. She looks the one to be with, while Nevermindtherain could improve considerably for the step up to 7f. Churchill Bond may be the pick of the newcomers for last year's winning connections.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Margot Mae shouldn’t be inconvenienced if looking to adopt a prominent position: Despite a suspicion the pace will be sound, those held up such as Maire Rua usually is are still likely to have their work cut out.

Timeform Comments

A Girl Named Sioux (IRE)
Foaled April 3. Sioux Nation filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 1m Keeper of Time and 2-y-o 7f winner Bold Impact. Dam winner up to 8.5f (2-y-o 5.5f winner). Faces some well-bred rivals on racecourse bow.
Arizonaneargalway (IRE)
Foaled April 28. €5,000 yearling, Arizona filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful winner up to 1m Parkes And Ride and 5f-1m winner Rayig. Dam 7f winner. More likely to make an impact down the line.
Bellesque (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica filly. Half-sister to several winners, including smart winner up to 1½m Giuseppe Piazzi (2-y-o 1¼m winner, by Galileo), useful 9f-1½m winner Adjusted (by Montjeu) and useful 2-y-o 7f winner (stayed 1¼m) Old Glory. Dam 9f winner. Interesting newcomer from excellent yard.
Carafinn (IRE)
€120,000 Mehmas filly. Offered something to work on when fourth of 14 in a maiden at Cork (6f, good) on debut. Should be in the mix with improvement expected over the longer trip.
Churchill Bond
Foaled March 27. €300,000 2-y-o, Pinatubo filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Golden Love and 1½m-13.3f winner Golden Bugle. Dam, 1m winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m Footstepsinthesand and smart 6f winner Pedro The Great. Makes appeal for connections who won this race last year.
Fine Line (IRE)
Well held on debut at Cork. Unlikely to be making an impact in the short term.
Honey Deuce (FR)
Wasn't given a hard time when sixth in a traditionally strong maiden over C&D on debut. Has her work cut out to reverse the form with Margot Mae, even with improvement anticipated.
Katiraya (IRE)
Foaled March 20. Oasis Dream filly. Dam 2-y-o 1m winner (on debut). Market usually a good guide for stable's debutants.
Maire Rua
Foaled March 11. Frankel filly. Sister to smart winner up to 9f Red Letter and 1m winner Res Ipsa. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner (on debut). Ticks plenty of boxes on paper and no surprise to see her in the shake-up on debut.
Margot Mae (IRE)
115,000 gns Starspangledbanner filly. Entered in Group 1 Matron. Much improved from debut when close third behind exciting prospect Alpha in a C&D maiden (soft) last month. That form sets a clear standard here.
Nevermindtherain (IRE)
Again looked to be crying out for further when fifth at Navan (5f) second time up. Her smart half-brother Puerto Rico got off the mark over this trip, and she's expected to make much more of an impact here.
Shenata (IRE)
Foaled February 4. Saxon Warrior filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 7f winner Sheyya and 7f winner Shelbiana. Dam, 7f winner (stayed 1m), half-sister to smart 7f/1m winner Shelir. Probably a longer-term prospect.
Stormy Dawn (IRE)
Foaled March 24. Soldier's Call filly. Dam 6.5f/7f winner (including at 2 yrs) out of 1¼m-2m winner Herrera. Tough ask taking on better-calibre opposition.
Voice Of You (IRE)
Foaled March 4. Dark Angel filly. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 12.5f Tarana out of useful winner up to 1½m (2-y-o 1m winner who stayed 14.6f) Tarakala. Makes some pedigree appeal, but she may come into her own over further.
