Timeform View

A huge field for this valuable novice. Preference is for DESERT LEGEND, who showed plenty to work on first time up when third at Windsor recently and with improvement on the cards, Richard Hannon's colt gets the nod to go a couple of places better. This step up to 6f will suit Minster Boy, so he rates a significant threat, while Old Oak, Wolf Bay and Banged Up look debutants to note and the market should be a decent guide to their chances.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Of those forecasted with a better chance, My Boo Boo and Desert Legend could be the most susceptible in a race in which competition for the lead looks plentiful: Such a hotly-contested pace as is on the cards here may be to the benefit of Its A Ginger Thing and Banged Up who can be expected to be ridden with restraint.

Timeform Comments

Ard As A Rock (IRE)
Foaled April 24. 13,000 gns yearling, £23,000 2-y-o, Ardad colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m (stays 13f) Walk of Stars out of useful winner up to 1½m (2-y-o 7f winner) Sound Reflection. Yard 4-12 with 2-y-o debutants at time of writing.
Banged Up
Foaled January 17. 20,000 gns yearling, Without Parole gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 5f winner King Cole and useful US 7.5f/8.5f winner Atomic Blonde. Dam French 1m-10.5f winner. Yard 3-22 with 2-y-o debutants at time of writing.
Beresford Gap (IRE)
Acclamation colt who showed a bit when sixth of 11 in novice at Salisbury (6f, heavy) on debut last month. Entitled to do better.
Desert Legend (IRE)
Dubawi Legend colt who showed plenty to work on when third of 11 in novice at Windsor (6f, firm) on debut 10 days ago, looking the winner's main threat for much of the latter stages. High on the shortlist with improvement on the cards.
Gambling Man (IRE)
Foaled February 20. €20,000 yearling, 26,000 gns 2-y-o, Cotai Glory colt. Brother to winner up to 1m Chimgan and half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner The Road Is Long. Dam maiden (stayed 7f).
He's Readytorumble
Rumble Inthejungle colt who struggled to land much of a blow when sixth of 9 in novice at Salisbury (5f, good to soft) on debut in May. Likely to need more time.
Its A Ginger Thing (IRE)
Space Blues colt who was very green but gave some signs the message was getting through late on when eighth of 11 in novice at Windsor (6f, firm) on debut 10 days ago.
Macau (IRE)
Cotai Glory gelding who showed plenty to work on when third of 10 in novice at Wolverhampton (6f) on debut last month, the winner away and gone by the time he started to get the hang of things. Open to improvement.
Mirzimaan (IRE)
Mohaather colt who offered little when last of 13 in novice at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on debut 8 weeks ago. Looks one for later on.
My Boo Boo
Ten Sovereigns colt who offered something to work on when second of 10 in novice at Windsor (5f, good to firm) on debut last month, not knocked about. Step up to 6f looks a good move and he should improve.
Old Oak (IRE)
Foaled March 5. €42,000 yearling, State of Rest colt. Half-brother to 9f winner Centuria. Dam, French 1½m winner, half-sister to smart 7f/1m winner Stunning Spirit. Yard 5-39 with 2-y-o debutants at time of writing.
Ten Of Clubs
Still green but achieved more than on debut when eighth of 11 in novice at Salisbury (6f, good) 9 days ago. Nurseries after will be more suitable.
Zambezi Shark
Aclaim colt who offered something to work on when fifth of 9 in novice at Chester (6f, soft) on debut last month. Looks one for the longer term.
Aljoon (IRE)
Foaled April 29. 5,000 gns 2-y-o, Calyx colt. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner. Market check advised on debut.
God Of Titans (IRE)

Minster Boy (IRE)
Calyx colt who shaped promisingly when fourth of 13 in maiden at Windsor (5f, good to firm) on debut last month, running on late. Sure to be suited by this step up to 6f and looks bound to improve on that initial effort.
Silent Sadhu
Foaled March 23. 3,000 gns yearling, Sergei Prokofiev colt. Dam twice-raced half-sister to smart/unreliable winner up to 9f Navajo Chief. Yard's first 2-y-o runner of the season.
