Timeform View

STORM POINT can follow up his improved C&D success from 28 days ago, having looked better the further he went. The Third Star made a good start for her new yard when second here last time and is feared most, while The Dragon King is also capable of being involved.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The Third Star has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Grizedale
Progressive 4-y-o who doubled career tally in 7-runner handicap at Kempton (1m) 7 days ago. Switches back to turf in bid to defy 5 lb penalty but possible he's better on all-weather.
The Dragon King (IRE)
Back to form when 2 lengths second of 7 in handicap at Salisbury (7f) last time. Still below last winning mark now tackling 1m for the just second time.
Sea Founder
Successful twice on all-weather this year, the latter coming over this trip at Kempton in April, but turned in one of his lesser efforts when only ninth of 10 in handicap at Chester last time.
Youarenotforgiven
Has shown that he's still capable of fairly useful form this year, completing an all-weather hat-trick at Wolverhampton in April. However, he hasn't been in anything like the same form off higher marks on turf on last 2 starts.
The Third Star
Stepped up on reappearance/stable debut when 3¼ lengths second of 12 to River King over C&D in June. Yard remains in good order and another bold bid looks to be on the cards.
Distinct Spirit
Stood little racing since debut win at Salisbury in July 2024. Hampered/unseated rider when in the process of running a solid race at Yarmouth last October and it's a slight niggle that he's been off since.
Nakaaha
Proved better than ever when winning 1m handicap at Bath 8 days ago, again travelling smoothly and beating Swiped by 1¾ lengths. Turned out under a penalty but more required if she's to follow up.
Mythical Bird (IRE)
Advanced her form when comfortably getting off the mark at Lingfield on reappearance and backed that up returned to turf when third at Leicester next time but well held in better handicap since and needs to bounce back.
Signcastle City (IRE)
Back to winning ways at Chelmsford (7f) in February and at least respectable efforts on last 4 starts, 2¾ lengths fifth of 12 to Bami at this course on latest of them 16 days ago. Each-way claims.
Captain Fox (IRE)
Gelded prior to confirming previous promise in 5-runner novice (1/2) at Lingfield (1m) in February after 5 months off. Was unable to improve on that tackling a handicap last time and needs to resume progress if he's to feature.
Storm Point
Improved off being gelded to land 7f handicap at Kempton in April and suited by step up in trip when winning C&D handicap last month, forging clear late on and beating Luminare by 2½ lengths. 5 lb rise not excessive for one on such an upward curve.
Chale Chalo (IRE)
Got up late to win a 4-runner nursery at Lingfield (7f, all-weather) in December and ran at least as well when runner-up in a stronger 8-runner race at Southwell (7f) on New Year's Day. Possible last month's Doncaster reappearance was needed but present mark probably about right.
