Timeform View

A tricky small-field nursery and THE GINGER KID is taken to make a winning start in handicaps at the expense of King's Prize. Donegal Rose is another to consider for a yard doing well with their 2-y-os.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Donegal Rose traded at a high of 11.50 and Betfair SP of 4.15 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

The Ginger Kid (IRE)
Failed a long way to meet expectations on debut (got rather worked up beforehand) but proved a different proposition when winning a Nottingham novice next time. Found it tougher in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and can get back on the up switched to nurseries.
King's Prize
Looks the part and made a winning debut by 1½ lengths from Dubai Charm at Nottingham (6f) in April. That form hasn't worked out and finished well held in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last month. In good hands to bounce back.
Kach Above
Far Above colt who got off the mark in 10-runner maiden (11/8) at Leicester (7f, good) 32 days ago. That form has been franked though he'll need another step forward on nursery debut.
Persian Land (IRE)
Overcame a pace bias to make a winning debut at Haydock (6f, soft) in May and nearly followed up at Ffos Las 2 weeks later. Ran poorly on firmer ground and in first-time visor when well held at Beverley last time. The headgear comes off and he has a bit to prove all of a sudden.
Cash Cove (IRE)
Progressive sort who opened her account at the third time of asking in 7f Doncaster maiden last month, making the most of her experience. Well-bred filly who can go well again now switched to nurseries.
Donegal Rose (IRE)
Promising type who stepped up on her debut effort to win 10-runner maiden at this course (5.5f, good to firm) in May. Steps up in trip on nursery bow and is open to progress.
