Timeform View

PRECISE wasn't able to fully strut her stuff in the Coronation but this race should set up perfectly, and she's fancied to extend her sequence of Group 1 victories with authority. Blue Bolt can confirm her Royal Ascot superiority over Jancis and claim the silver medal.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Precise traded at a high of 2.26 and Betfair SP of 1.74 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Blue Bolt (IRE)
Travelled fluently before producing an impressive burst of pace to make it 2-2 for the season in Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. More than ready for another crack at the top level, though she'll likely need another career best to successfully concede 9 lb to Precise.
Jancis (IRE)
Hold-up type was an improved model when successful in well-run Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket (9f) on return. Similar pace scenario saw her bounce back with another personal best behind Blue Bolt at Royal Ascot latest. Reopposes on 3 lb better terms and presence of a pacemaker can only help her cause.
Balantina (IRE)
Surged ahead late to land a strongly-run Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf under Oisin Murphy (2-3) at Del Mar in late-October. Expected to take a step forward from her comeback fifth in the Coronation, though the demands of this track probably favour the Ballydoyle filly.
Evolutionist (IRE)
Capped fine juvenile season when third to Precise in Group 1 Fillies' Mile. Resumed progress with Longchamp Group 3 win before only finding True Love too good in the 1000 Guineas. This test should play to her strengths, but she needs to bounce back from a no show in Prix de Diane (1¼m) last time.
Precise (IRE)
Resumed winning ways/progress in comprehensive fashion in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Cemented her position at the top of the 3-y-o fillies' miling tree with workmanlike success (not helped by tardy start) in Coronation latest. Should be seen to better effect here and can make it a Group 1 hat-trick.
Venetian Lace (IRE)
Finished second to Precise in Fillies' Mile on final juvenile start. Clearly developed physically prior to finishing cracking third in 1000 Guineas on return. Beaten before stamina was an issue in Oaks (1½m, soft) since, but even the best of her form over 1m is unlikely to be good enough.
Venosa (USA)
Fairly useful maiden who trailed the field on return in Group 1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches at Longchamp, and she's almost certainly a pacemaker for stablemate Precise.
