A chance is taken on CAPTAIN BOUDET, who shaped like being involved for most of the way before a combination of an 11-week absence and an aggressive ride took their toll on yard debut here last month. Returned to 2½m and now below his last winning mark, he can get the better of Evening Tess, who got off the mark over hurdles recently and is now sent chasing. Aslukgoes looks best of the rest.

Has just a sole hurdling success to his name under Rules and failed to make much of an impact switched to the larger obstacles at Southwell (2½m, good) last month, jumping rather tentatively. First-time cheekpieces go on but probably best watched for now.
Captain Boudet (FR)
Dual chaser scorer for Jeremy Scott who shaped better than distance beaten on stable debut when tailed off here last month, a combination of an 11-week absence and another aggressive ride telling late on. Now below last winning mark and could be worth chancing back down in trip.
Mix Of Clover
Veteran who isn't the easiest to assess at present but seemed not to stay the longer trip at Stratford (23f, good) last month. Handicapper eases his grip further but tough to know which mood he will turn up in.
Aslukgoes
Struck at second time of asking over hurdles back from a long absence here last summer for Ben Brookhouse. More like it on return at Ffos Las in May and would have gone close on his chasing debut but for stumbling and falling soon after 4 out at Cartmel a fortnight ago. Interesting.
White Riot (FR)
Looked a good prospect when a fairly useful winner of a bumper at Wetherby last spring but has clearly had his problems since and has proved most underwhelming over hurdles. Hard to fancy on chase debut.
Evening Tess
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who has progressed steadily for Dan Skelton, though she looked quirky off the bridle when opening her account in a Fontwell novice (19f) last month. Of obvious interest with attentions now turned to the larger obstacles.
Boskill Borden (IRE)
On a long losing run over hurdles and was tailed off some way out having been none too fluent on chasing debut at Southwell (2½m, good to firm) when last seen in October.
