With a couple of forward-going types to aim at, OUR GUIDE should be able to make it 4 in a row. Ebony Warrior is feared most given his fine course record.

Timeform Comments

American Mike (IRE)
Best effort for current stable when dead-heating in a handicap chase at Perth (3m) in April. Well positioned when nearly capitalising on lower hurdles mark under this claimer here (23f) last time. Tougher task back down in trip off 5 lb higher mark.
Skyjack Hijack (IRE)
Front runner who completed a remarkable 6-timer in 2024. Hasn't looked the same horse since returning from a 15-month absence. Hopes pinned on first-time tongue strap/cheekpieces.
Miss Maverick
Free-going front runner. Not for the first time did too much too soon when third in valuable Cartmel handicap last time. However, did best of those ridden prominently and gave the impression she was back in top form.
Our Guide (IRE)
Fairly useful debut bumper winner in Ireland. Still not an assured jumper but typically found plenty for pressure when bringing up a hat-trick on handicap debut over C&D last time. Progressive sort can land the 4-timer in a race that should be run to suit.
Ebony Warrior (IRE)
Seemingly hasn't been the easiest to train, but his form figures when completing at this course now read 31221 following a decisive win here (23f) last month. Drop back in trip unlikely to be an issue, and he should go close off 6 lb higher.
Dream Diamond (IRE)
Impressive all-the-way winner of 2m course novice on stable debut last summer before disappointing (sent off favourite) in valuable C&D novice final. Back to form in first-time hood when going close at Newton Abbot latest, and he looks well worth another go over 2½m.
Billy Boi Blue
Seemed best fresh when recording a couple of fairly useful 3m handicap wins in 2024/25. Handicap mark has plummeted following a spell in the doldrums. No surprise that he's undergone a breathing operation following another weak finish at Hexham last month.
