Timeform View

A promising runner-up on debut, HELL OF A SPIN is fancied to go one better. Casino Star and Calef both cost 6-figures and need considering in a thin maiden.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Hell Of A Spin traded at a low of 3.00 and Betfair SP of 12.36 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Casino Star (IRE)
£100,000 Cotai Glory colt. Produced a promising first effort when no match for the subsequent Coventry Stakes third over 6f here. Now tried over minimum trip having given way late in better company at York (6f) last time. Looks well worth another chance.
Hell Of A Spin (IRE)
€75,000 Naval Crown colt. Showed plenty of ability in pushing the favourite all the way in a fairly useful novice on debut at Newcastle (5f). That form just about sets the standard and there should be improvement to come.
My Mate Fitz (IRE)
Showed some zip but didn't last out on debut here (6f). Should do better down in trip with a run under his belt.
Onslaught (IRE)
Showed only greenness when last of 6 in novice at Pontefract (6f, good) on debut 20 days ago.
River Jordan
Showed a bit but faded once headed on debut at Musselburgh (5f, soft) in early-April. Has been given time since and is probably one for the longer term.
Calef (IRE)
180,000 gns Blue Point filly. Steadily improved with each run, latterly showing good speed to finish third in Catterick maiden (runner-up has franked that form). Expected to give a good account.
Havana Gift
Close second in a Musselburgh seller (5f) before running to a similar level when fourth on nursery debut at Nottingham (5f, good). Bit to find at the weights back in a maiden.
