SURE AND STEDFAST has been shaping up well this season and, with the form of his 2 placed efforts at this course looking strong, he could be ready to get back to winning ways. Spirit of Jura is feared most after she got back on track at Ripon last time, while Prince of The Seas would be respected if taking up this engagement.

Contested a couple of Derby trials for Ralph Beckett last year before going on to win a 1½m Goodwood handicap in the summer. Back to best this season when third at Doncaster (1¼m) 8 days ago, so he's one to note if taking his place here. Engaged 4.30 York Friday.
Spirit Of Jura
Most progressive to start 2025, winning 4 of her first 5 outings with her latest success over this C&D in August. Ended the year on a low-key note, but got back on the up this season when just denied at Ripon (1½m) last month. Can go well again with latest run behind her.
Spirit Of Acklam
Won at Ayr (1¼m) on second of his 3 starts last season and shaped as if retaining all ability after a year off when fifth of 10 at Ripon in May. Seemed unsuited by the track when down the field at Chester (12.3f) 16 days later, though does need to prove himself at further than 1¼m.
Dunkeld Dreamer (IRE)
Made all to open her account for the year at Haydock (1m) in April. Has continued in good heart since, ridden more patiently when adding to her tally in female amateur riders race at York (1½m) last month. Goes further up in distance here.
Sure And Stedfast (IRE)
Successful twice last season and ran up to his best when second over C&D last month, form which has been boosted since. Met trouble in running when fifth of 12 at Newcastle last time, so he looks capable of a bold showing back here.
Ameilya
Fairly useful form at best in Ireland for James M. Barrett but lost his way, including over hurdles. After 13 months off, fared no better on stable debut when well held in 7f handicap at Musselburgh 11 days ago.
