MOONFALL looked on his way to better things when beating 29 rivals in the Britannia at Royal Ascot last time and he can defy a 7 lb rise to follow up. Handicap newcomers Eklleem and Alfaraz are interesting stepping into handicap company for the first time.

Timeform Comments

Tales Of Wisdom (IRE)
Created a big impression when scoring by a wide margin on debut and wasted no time getting back on the up after a tame effort on return when landing 10-runner novice on the Rowley Mile (1m) in May. Badly drawn at Royal Ascot last time, so remains unexposed in handicaps.
Moonfall (IRE)
Winner of 6.5f novice at Newbury last summer and has looked potentially smart at 3 yrs, stepping up on his reappearance to win a typically red-hot renewal of the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m) 3 weeks ago. Can improve further from a 7 lb higher mark and looks the one to beat.
Iron Lily (IRE)
Won a maiden at Dundalk in October before producing an improved effort when sixth of 11 in a Group 3 at Leopardstown on return. Scoped dirty at the Curragh last time but assessor has taken no chances with opening mark having since left Mrs J. Harrington.
Wechaad (IRE)
Progressive as a 2-y-o, scoring on nursery debut at Doncaster (7f) in September. Ran well after 7 months off despite not being seen to best effect when fourth of 17 at Goodwood (7f) in May but looked a shade stretched by the step up to 1m when seventh in the Britannia last time.
Sunset On Leros
Showed useful form at 2 yrs and ran creditably enough when 6½ lengths third of 14 in Italian 2000 Guineas at Milan (1m, good) in May. Never involved, albeit meeting trouble, in the Golden Gates Stakes at Royal Ascot last time but handicap mark still looks on the harsh side.
St Anton (IRE)
Built on earlier promise to get off the mark here early in May and did well to overcome trouble in running and follow up in a 8-runner handicap at Carlisle (1m) later in the month. Only mid-field in the Britannia at Royal Ascot since but his previous form means he's still respected.
Wild Thoughts (IRE)
Has proved a different proposition switched to handicaps this year, winning 4 in a row and improving again when narrowly denied by St Anton at Carlisle (1m, good) 6 weeks ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time here.
Alfaraz
Has shown plenty of ability, again doing a bit much in front when a close sixth at Newbury (1¼m) in April and having seemed not to appreciate a patient ride next time, he settled better back down in trip when winning a 5-runner novice at this C&D (good to firm) 21 days ago. Opening mark looks fair.
Eklleem
Promising second in novice at Newmarket (7f) in October and got back on track after a disappointing return when readily winning a 6-runner novice at Ripon (1m) 23 days ago, showed a good attitude to get back on an even keel after a hefty bump from the runner-up. Likely improver now handicapping.
