Timeform View

EXPOSURE shaped better than the bare result when hampered on his yard/handicap debut at this course 22 days ago and looks worth siding with now up and running for top connections, with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Crimson Spirit shaped well despite being too far from the rail at Epsom and rates the biggest threat, with Righthere Rightnow very much respected if getting his ideal set-up.

Timeform Comments

Crimson Spirit
Proved better than ever when landing 14-runner 7f handicap at Goodwood in May and shaped better than the bare result off this mark when 4¾ lengths fourth at Epsom. One for the shortlist.
Exposure
Shaped better than bare result when 2½ lengths seventh of 13 in 1m event at this course last month on return/debut for this yard, not clear run over 1f out and hampered again final 1f. Looks sure to go close with a clear shot at things and booking of Ryan Moore is hardly a negative.
Pinatubo's Legacy
Won 10-runner novice at Newcastle (7.1f) on debut in November and stepped up on that form when ¾-length third of 7 in 7f novice at Lingfield a month later. Remains unexposed and makes turf debut on back of a 175-day break and a breathing operation.
Sword
Stepped up on stable debut/reappearance when ¾-length third of 20 to Our Havana at York in June. Claims on that effort but as a temperamental sort, he's just as likely to run poorly this time as back that up.
Nikovo
Won at Newcastle in March. Has finished in the frame on last 2 starts, 2¾ lengths third of 14 to Room Service back at Newcastle 3 weeks ago. Races off his lower turf mark here and capable of being involved again if running to his best, though others make more appeal for win purposes.
Leadman
Quirky sort who capitalised on a much-reduced mark when winning 7f handicap at Doncaster last month, beating Goldmoyne by a nose. A 2 lb rise for that success is far from excessive but needs the right setup to deliver.
Righthere Rightnow (FR)
Attracted support and bounced back to form when ¾-length third of 12 to Diligently in 6f handicap at Windsor last time after 3 months off, possibly unlucky after suffering early interference. A C&D winner in the past, he holds solid place claims if getting the breaks this time around.
Harlequin Angel (IRE)
Showed improved form when making all in 7f handicap at Yarmouth on return in April, as she had for sole juvenile success. Below form in better race at Royal Ascot last time and needs to resume progress if she's to feature here.
Rogue Messiah (IRE)
Confirmed promise of return when landing 6f handicap at Lingfield in April for Jack Jones but made very little impact on debut for current yard at Doncaster last month. Should stay 7f and entitled to bounce back, though progress likely required.
Secret History (IRE)
Progressive filly who supplemented January's novice win at Chelmsford by following up in 8-runner handicap at Wetherby (7f) in April. Ran creditably whilst shaping as if stretched by the trip when fourth of 8 at Carlisle (1m, good) in May. Return to 7f will suit.
Glen Nevis
In frame all 3 starts in novice event/maidens, showing fair form at best. Improvement required on handicap debut.
