SCHRODINGER'S CAT has been going the right way this season, only narrowly denied by a fellow improver at York last time, and he can continue his progress to resume winning ways. Heading the list of dangers is King of Light, who got back on the up when scoring decisively at Windsor 12 days ago, with Dubai Bling and Behike others to consider.

Timeform Comments

Run Boy Run
Acquitted himself well in top-end handicaps last summer before going on to land the Ayr Gold Cup. Added to his tally at Meydan (5f) in February and runner-up in a Group 3 next time, but found things tougher from his career-high mark in the Wokingham here 3 weeks ago.
Dubai Bling (IRE)
Got back to winning ways in Bahrain in April and looked unlucky not to follow up after meeting trouble at Chester the following month. Again didn't get the rub of the green in the Wokingham here 3 weeks ago and he enters calculations, for all that needs things to drop right.
Annaf (IRE)
Ended 2025 with Group 3 success in the Bengough Stakes over 6f here. Low-key start to the current campaign, but got back on track when third of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 2 weeks ago. Task is now to build on latest effort back on turf.
King Of Light
Took his form up a notch for current yard when scoring at Haydock (5f) in September and resumed his progress this season with a clear-cut success at Windsor (6f) 12 days ago. Up 8 lb but he can remain very competitive given the manner of his victory.
Fandom
Useful 3-time winner in the US earlier in his career and has returned to his best for current yard this season, gaining a first European success at Thirsk (6f) in May. Hasn't kicked on in 2 starts since, though, 5½ lengths fourth of 10 to King of Light at Windsor 12 days ago.
Adrestia
Winner of the C&D Palace of Holyroodhouse at the Royal Meeting last year and runner-up in Glorious Goodwood handicap and Beverley listed race later in the summer. Excuses in handicaps both starts this season, blindfold removed late at Redcar, so she's not ruled out.
Toca Madera (IRE)
Worked his back to form for new stable this season, taking advantage of his reduced mark with an easy success at Doncaster last month. However, back up 11 lb in the weights he couldn't run to quite the same level when sixth of 16 at the Curragh 13 days ago.
Behike (IRE)
Confirmed promise of his debut with a wide-margin success on the all-weather at Lingfield (6f) on return. Followed up in good style on turf at the same venue, before racing in the unfavoured centre group in King Charles III Stakes over C&D. Remains with potential on handicap bow.
Trefor (IRE)
3-time winner in 2025, including a big-field handicap at York in August, and shaped well on second start back this season when fourth of 7 at Windsor (6f) in May. However, found things difficult back up in grade for the Wokingham here last time.
Regal Envoy (IRE)
Has proved as good as ever this season, making it 2 wins from 3 starts when scoring at Windsor last month. Shaped better than the result when 7½ lengths seventh of 10 to King of Light at the same course (6f) 12 days ago, shaping as if a return to shorter should suit.
Havana Hurricane
Won 2 of first 3 starts last year, including the Windsor Castle over C&D. Has also run well 2 of 3 outings this season (well held in the Commonwealth Cup in between), third of 5 on handicap debut at Sandown 8 days ago despite not seeming ideally suited by drop back to 5f.
Glamorous Breeze
Strong-travelling mare who won 3 times in 2025 and has returned with 2 good placed efforts, close third at Goodwood in May before headed on the post at Windsor 19 days ago. Goes back up in grade but she can give her running once more.
Schrodinger's Cat
Had some strong place form to his name prior to landing the odds at Redcar last month. Took another step forward in defeat when just edged out at York 2 weeks ago and he looks capable of making another very bold bid.
Brosay
Recorded back-to-back wins for Paul Attwater last season, at this course (6f) in September on the second occasion. Better signs for current yard when fifth of 10 here in May, but has been below form the last twice.
Ancient State (IRE)
Has improved for the switch to Adam Kirby this season, bagging a third win in 5-runner event at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) 2 weeks ago. Much more difficult task here but is at the top of his game right now. Engaged 5.05 York Friday.
Mesaafi
Shaped well when making the frame over C&D in May and built on that effort to record a first turf success at Windsor next time. Suffered a troubled passage when close fourth of 9 at Windsor 19 days ago, so he can give another good account back here.
