CRUDEN has been knocking on the door for his up-and-coming stable, just about better than ever when second at Goodwood 4 weeks ago. He's perhaps a shade fortunate to be left on the same mark given the distance back to the rest so is taken to cash in. Secret Force was value for extra at Pontefract last time so he demands respect, with Valley of Flowers another in-form rival to consider.

Steadily progressive handicapper who hit the target 3 times last season, including twice over C&D. Sound-enough start to this season, faring about as well as could be expected in Group 3 Bronte Cup over 1¾m here in May. Falsely-run race against her over that C&D 2 weeks ago so forgiven that.
Secret Force (IRE)
Flat/hurdles winner during the winter in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell and cemented a very solid start for this yard when landing 5-runner handicap at Pontefract 3 weeks ago. Value for a bit extra given how that race panned out so he needs considering up 4 lb.
Cruden
On a losing run but he comes here in excellent nick, better than ever when finding only a rejuvenated rival too strong in 1¾m handicap at Goodwood 4 weeks ago, clear of the rest. Return to 2m in his favour so major claims from the same mark.
Trojan Sun
Successful 4 times in 2025 and benefited from a drop back in grade this season when winning over 1¾m at Carlisle last month. Combination of 5 lb penalty, drop to 11f and a better race found him out back there 17 days ago.
Treasure Islands
Off the mark at Ripon (2m) in April and capitalised on drop in grade in 4-runner handicap at Catterick last month. Enjoyed the run of the race on that occasion and found the going tougher when mid-field under a penalty at Newcastle 2 weeks ago.
Valley Of Flowers (IRE)
Ended losing run dating back to 2023 when a smooth winner at Carlisle (11f) last week, eased near the line and value for a bit extra. 5 lb rise is fair enough given manner of that success and she stays 2m well, so is one to consider.
Terrorise
Hurdles scorer last May and ran out an emphatic winner of this race a year ago. Ended 2025 with a poor run at this venue and continued out of sorts this season, including in a visor 2 weeks ago. Tongue strap now applied.
Cosmic Soul (IRE)
Flat winner over this trip at Carlisle a year ago and in excellent form over hurdles this spring, completing a cross-code 4-timer (all hurdles wins at Sedgefield). Heavy defeat away from that venue at Perth a month ago but he can be a factor back on the level.
Division Day
Back-to-back Flat winner during the autumn and in good nick over hurdles this winter too, second at Sedgefield in February. Stuck to his task well when adding to tally on the level (1½m) at Doncaster last month but must cast aside a disappointing performance at Worcester.
Furhaan
Made a winning handicap debut at Windsor (11.5f) in September for Ed Walker before leaving yard for 32,000 gns after next outing. Yet to fully hit his stride for current connections but he's unexposed over 2m.
Queen Roslyn
Won over hurdles in March and found the trip inadequate when down field over 1¼m returned to the Flat here 29 days ago. Should strip fitter for that outing and be suited by a return to this trip, but this is a better race than she need contest. Engaged 5.40 here Friday.
