SUMMER IS TOMORROW was only just denied in a competitive handicap last time and he gets the nod here over Confused, who rates as a likely improver on the back of his Gowran maiden win, and South Island, who drops in a grade after a couple of outings in Group 3 company.

Timeform Comments

Confused (IRE)
Built on a promising debut to win a 15-runner maiden at Gowran (9.5f, good) 40 days ago. Strong at the finish there and he's open to plenty of progress.
South Island (IRE)
Useful colt won a Curragh maiden on his penultimate start last year. Mid-field in 2 Group 3s so far this season and that form gives him claims, for all he's more exposed than a couple of his rivals.
Summer Is Tomorrow (IRE)
Useful as a juvenile and proved better than ever after a low-key start to the year when going down only narrowly in a 16-runner premier handicap at the Curragh (9f, good to firm) 13 days ago, shaping as if he'd have been even better suited by a stronger gallop. Big player on these terms.
Hard Promises (IRE)
Pinatubo colt showed plenty to work on when third of 10 in maiden at Cork (10.5f, heavy) on debut 69 days ago, sticking to his task under pressure to finish clear of rest. Should progress but this will require a sizeable step forward.
Mo Mhuirin (IRE)
Winner at Dundalk on debut in December and finished placed in 2 races of this ilk so far this summer, improving further when finishing clear of the rest in a 13-runner race at Gowran 40 days ago.
