Timeform View

A market to keep an eye on with plenty potentially well treated. A chance is taken on unexposed ANGEL OF PROMISE, who drops in grade sporting a first-time visor. Rockbury Lad, Captain Ciano, Akashaa and Bella Colombia all have credible claims.

Timeform Comments

Bella Colombia (IRE)
Returns to all-weather for first time since readily capitalising on career-low mark over C&D in March. Only 1 lb higher here and clearly still in fine heart when runner-up at Fairyhouse (8.5f) last week.
Captain Ciano (IRE)
Maiden who's run to a fair level a couple of times in handicaps. Hinted at a revival at Bellewstown last week and has slipped to a very attractive mark.
Angel Of Promise (IRE)
Dark Angel filly. Promising sixth in big-field Curragh maiden (6f) on her second start. No impact in couple of sprint handicaps there this season. Could do much better dropped into a 0-60 sporting a first-time visor, provided she stays (some stamina on dam's side).
Rockbury Lad
Quirky C&D winner (isn't the easiest to win with). Best effort this year came when close second off 2 lb higher here. Notable that Colin Keane takes over back down in grade.
Fleetfootsoldier (IRE)
Completed a course double in this grade last year for Denis Hogan. Possibly finding his fitness both starts on turf for current yard.
Kitty Bear (IRE)
Partnered by same apprentice when successful 3 times this year, including a similar event over C&D in January. Wasn't best placed on turf last time and ought to be competitive back on this surface.
Navajo Point (IRE)
Low mileage 4-y-o. No impact in 3 handicap starts to date. Couple of those runs have come following an absence (including on return at Leopardstown last time). At least shouldn't lack for fitness down in grade on all-weather bow.
Famous Enough (IRE)
Winner over C&D last autumn. Standout effort this season when runner-up here in April. Latest fifth at Fairyhouse was a step back in the right direction.
Micasso (IRE)
Bled final start here last year. Bounced back to get off the mark with a career best on reappearance at Bellewstown (22/1) last week. Has previously struggled for consistency, though.
Akashaa (IRE)
Lightly-raced 4-y-o went close in a similar event here last summer. Another big run expected following creditable sixth of 15 at Leopardstown on return.
Movin And Groovin (IRE)
Opened her account over 6f last January (stays 1m). Off 14 months since respectable final start for Adrian McGuinness. Now 2 lb lower than her winning mark on first run for capable new yard.
Rampage (IRE)
Winner of this race 12 months ago. Yet to really fire this year but down to a career-low mark as a result (12 lb lower than last year's success). No surprise to see a bounce back.
My Vonnie (IRE)
Maiden couldn't justify support in a similar C&D event in January. Returns from a break with tongue strap refitted, and she needs a close look in the market with Dylan Brown McMonagle taking over.
Cosmic Force
Long-standing maiden. Down the field in a C&D claimer on latest start in May. Others look more interesting.
Monroe Dasher (IRE)
Cheap purchase has shown little at long odds to date. Probably needed the run on what was effectively his handicap debut at Limerick (1m, heavy) last time. At least worth a market check given who trains him. RESERVE
Roman Harry (IRE)
Modest strike rate with 2 wins (Laytown maiden and course claimer) from 43 starts. Had some creditable C&D handicap form over the spring, though. RESERVE.
Desert Of The Sea (IRE)
Free-going sort remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs. Best effort this year when second over C&D. Poor run on turf latest. RESERVE
