Timeform View

REYNIR has progressed with each start to date and, having been gelded since last seen, is selected to go one better than at Navan on his latest start. Let's Smash It showed promise when a close second on debut last December and looks the biggest danger, whilst Police Gazette likely has more still to offer if the first-time blinkers have a positive impact.

Timeform Comments

Dorie Miller (IRE)
Half-brother to several winners, including 1¾m winner Pepper Street (by Born To Sea) and 1m-9.4f winner Miura (by Havana Grey): dam, 11.7f winner, half-sister to useful 1¼m-1½m winner (stayed 1¾m) Tilly's Chilli. Modest bumper performer and well held on completed starts in maiden hurdles.
Let's Smash It (IRE)
New Bay colt. Shaped promisingly when neck second of 14 to Senator Of State in 1m maiden at this course in December. Should improve and bred to stay this longer trip.
Matties Point (IRE)
15,000 gns foal, Almanzor gelding. Half-brother to useful 7f winner Beagle Bay. Dam, winner up to 1m (2-y-o 6f winner), half-sister to useful 2-y-o 5f winner Limetree Lady. Yard not known for winning debutants.
Police Gazette (USA)
War Front colt who stepped up markedly on debut when 9 lengths third of 10 to Believed in 1½m maiden at this course in May. Has needed plenty of stoking up on both outings to date and first-time blinkers and tongue strap now applied.
Reynir (IRE)
Progressive maiden who posted best effort when ½-length second of 8 to Genchev in maiden at Navan in May. Has been gelded since last seen and makes all-weather debut with first-time cheekpieces applied. Sets a clear standard.
Perggosa (IRE)
No impact in 4 starts, including on handicap debut last time.
