Timeform View

Lots of these arrive with a question mark against them so this could go to PEBBLE ISLAND who took a big step forward on just his third hurdling run when fourth at Bellewstown last time and can build on it to get off the mark. Both Whats New and Manoir De Mirande have the form to play a big part but aren't the most reliable which tempers enthusiasm.

Timeform Comments

Beat The Devil (IRE)
Modest form in varied events on Flat and yet to offer much in a pair of runs over hurdles, hooded when ninth of ten in novice at Downpatrick (2¼m) 28 days ago.
Manoir De Mirande (FR)
Unreliable type who comes here on the back of a below-form seventh of 14 in novice hurdle at Roscommon (2m) 6 days ago. Holds good form claims if back on his A-game though.
Whats New (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 11 hurdle runs but posted a very good second of 16 in novice at Bellewstown (17f) 8 days ago. Unreliable sort overall though.
Casheldale Lass (IRE)
Fair Flat winner last summer but only twelfth of 15 in handicap at Naas (11f) 18 days ago. Goes hurdling now and no forlorn hope.
Bobby Kirova
Modest Flat maiden who came in thirteenth of 15 in handicap at Gowran 30 days ago. Tongue strap goes on for 1st time on hurdling bow here.
I'm All In (IRE)
In good hands but completed for first time in 3 runs when last of 14 in juvenile hurdle at Naas (17f) 6 months ago. Hard to warm to. Engaged 5.10 Cork Friday.
Megaball (IRE)
Sumbal gelding. Dam fair 2m hurdle/chase winner (stayed 2½m), also a 13f winner on Flat. The market can guide on his hurdling debut.
Pebble Island
Modest maiden on the Flat who posted easily his best effort over hurdles with fourth of 7 in novice at Bellewstown (17f) 8 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for 1st time in this sphere and merits serious consideration.
Sylvie Power (IRE)
Kew Gardens gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdle/chase winner (stayed 23f) Dundrum Wood. The betting can prove an accurate indicator for this hurdling newcomer.
Emmamia (IRE)
Berkshire filly. Half-sister to fairly useful 2m/2¾m hurdle winner Roman Gold. Dam, fair 2m hurdle winner, is a sister to useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Pension Plan. Possibilities on her debut.
Noble Rocco (IRE)
10/1, seventh of 11 in bumper at Ballinrobe (17f) 48 days ago. More is needed on her hurdles debut.
The Chancie Grey (IRE)
100/1, never a danger under a patient ride when fifth of 17 in novice hurdle at Clonmel (17f) on debut 37 days ago. Can take a step forward.
