Timeform View

SILENT CITY is likely to be spot on with her reappearance behind her and can land a second course success. A Major Payne's breakthrough win at Nottingham came on the only occasion he was partnered by Oisin Murphy and he's second choice with the champion jockey back on board. Eupator has been given a chance by the handicapper and may prove best of the rest.

Timeform Comments

Silent City
Lightly-raced Cityscape filly who scored twice around 1m last summer (including here). Creditable third of 6 in handicap at Newmarket (1m, good) on reappearance 18 days ago. Up in trip. Leading claims.
A Major Payne
Finally broke his duck after 17 attempts when winning a 10-runner handicap at Nottingham under Oisin Murphy last month. Creditable third of 6 at Lingfield (1¼m, heavy) 3 days later. Should go well with Murphy back in the plate.
Pomme Pomme (IRE)
Won her first 5 handicaps early last summer but assessor seemingly caught up with her thereafter and she fell through the field too quickly to blame lack of fitness alone returning from 8 months off at Ripon in April. Bit to prove back from a further 12 weeks off.
Eupator (FR)
Struck twice at Wolverhampton (over 9.5f on second occasion) in January and has made the frame 3 times since, including when runner-up over 1m at Carlisle in May. Has failed to get competitive the last twice but being eased a further 2 lb can only help.
Morcar
Bounced back to form with a bang when getting up near the line at Newbury (1¼m, firm) 11 days ago. Should remain competitive off 3 lb higher.
Shady Bay (IRE)
Proved as good as ever when registering a fourth career success at Nottingham (1¼m) on reappearance in April. Creditable third back at Nottingham and at Newbury (11f) since. Placed on both visits to Windsor.
Special Ghaiyyath (IRE)
Two wins around 1m last year. Ran well when third on Wolverhampton reappearance in January (final start for James Tate) but has shown little in 3 outings for current yard since, including in first-time cheekpieces latest. Blinkers go on now.
