Timeform View

KING'S CROWN has been shaping up well of late and can resume winning ways after an unlucky fourth at Thirsk when last seen. Woohoo found it easier dropped in grade on her latest effort and is interesting with Mulrennan up, while last-time-out winner JM Jhingree has to be respected.

Timeform Comments

King's Crown (IRE)
Looks back in form of late and was unlucky not to finish closer when fourth at Thirsk when last seen in June, having his run checked at a crucial point. He's 3 lb below his last winning mark and is one to be very interested in.
Curious Rover (IRE)
Ran creditably when fourth at Musselburgh and Thirsk in the spring but hasn't been in the same form on his last 2 starts. Drops in grade with the blinkers left off and any positive market vibes should be noted.
Brazen Idol
Off nearly 2 years prior to return, proving he retains his ability when runner-up twice from 5 starts. Likely remains vulnerable for win purposes.
Woohoo (IRE)
Course winner whose latest success came at Musselburgh in April and was unlucky not to add to that there in June. Wasted no time getting back to form when second over C&D last week. Is still 4 lb above last winning mark but holds each-way claims with Mulrennan back in the saddle.
Lion's House
Won over 5f at Newcastle in February but form been rather patchy since. Ran poorly here last time and has yet to win on the turf.
Jm Jhingree (IRE)
Returned to form from out of the blue when winning 5-runner handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 18 days ago fitted with first-time cheekpieces, battling well from the front. May not get his own way this time but is entitled to be in the mix. Has the headgear retained.
Hi Lord
Bounced back to form to win 5f handicap at Hamilton in May by a short head. Matched that form when a close third over that C&D the following month but may have found latest run coming too soon just 6 days later. May do better after the short break.
Thistle Nil (IRE)
Caused a major upset on his third start when just holding on to win an 8-runner maiden (200/1) over 6f here. Weak in the betting when beating just a sole rival on handicap debut at Carlisle 9 days ago after racing freely. Must improve.
Our Absent Friends (IRE)
Course winner who was third in this last year. Hasn't been the most consistent since winning at Newcastle in December, with the handicapper taking little chances with him in the meantime.
Falcon Queen (IRE)
Just modest form when making the frame in 3 runs at Dundalk for Ken Condon. Hasn't gone on in handicaps since joining this yard but at least takes a drop in grade here.
Wee Mary (IRE)
Recorded 2 successes this year, the latest of which came at Musselburgh in June. Went close at same course just over 2 weeks later and shaped as if still in good form when making the frame there 13 days ago. May find things more difficult in a higher grade.
