Timeform View

Ralph Beckett continues among the winners and his APHRA BEHN can build on the promise of her recent Newcastle second and add to that tally here. Ardad Steve still looked a work in progress when sixth in Epsom's Woodcote last time and rates the main danger, although newcomers Deira Moon and Beningbrough Hall are bred to be above average and need monitoring in the market.

Timeform Comments

Ardad Steve (IRE)
Ardad colt has shown some promise when fourth (over 6f) in Yarmouth novice and sixth of 13 in Woodcote at Epsom, still looking green on latter occasion. Should have more to offer back in maiden company.
Cool King
Sent off 10/3 but looked in need of the experience and hampered early when seventh of 10 in novice at Wolverhampton (6f) on debut 27 days ago. This Kingman colt can take a step forward.
Cracking Idea (IRE)
Foaled March 8. €15,000 foal, 27,000 gns yearling, Cracksman colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 7.4f/1m winner Sayidah Poets and winner up to 1m Siguanaba. The market can guide for this newcomer.
Deira Moon (IRE)
Foaled April 20. €19,000 foal, €24,000 yearling, Naval Crown colt. Half-brother to 1m-11f winner Lennox. Appeals on paper so he's a considered newcomer.
Quest For Glory
20/1, never-dangerous fourth of 10 in novice at Kempton (7f) on debut 14 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Beningbrough Hall
Foaled January 24. Eqtidaar colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 6f winner Rydale Frosty and 1m/9f winner City of York. Dam winner up to 6f (2-y-o 5f winner). Noteworthy debutant, especially if the market vibes are positive.
Nakila Sun (GER)
17/2, well-held sixth of 8 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) on debut 44 days ago. This son of Torquator Tasso needs to take a big step forward.
Taseem
Yet to offer much in 3 runs, too free when seventh of 10 in novice at Kempton (7f) 14 days ago. Hooded for 1st time here.
Crown Velocity
Ardad filly who showed little when eighth of 13 in maiden at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) on her debut 17 days ago. Looks one for the longer term.
Norfolk Dream (IRE)
Foaled January 30. 36,000 gns foal, 27,000 gns yearling, Naval Crown filly. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m (stayed 12.5f) Tannaaf. The betting can prove an accurate indicator.
Aphra Behn
Failed to land the odds but shaped well when a short-head second of 10 in maiden at Newcastle (7f) 18 days ago, hampered early. This Territories filly is open to progress and looks the one to beat.
Gravastar
Tasleet filly failed to build on debut fourth with twelfth of 13 in novice at Newbury (6f) 11 days ago. Plenty more is needed.
