Timeform View

HIGHWAYMAN caught the eye when running on late at Naas and, with the step up in trip expected to suit, he is selected to improve further and get off the mark. Camino Lad showed the benefit of stepping up in trip when second at Ballinrobe last time and is open to further improvement himself, while Loch Gamhna is also capable of being in the mix if backing up his previous effort over this longer trip.

Timeform Comments

Camino Lad (IRE)
Flintshire gelding. Stepped up on debut placing when ½-length second of 6 to Wonderfulwonderful in maiden at Ballinrobe last month. Will be suited by this step up in trip and appeals very much as the type to progress further.
Go Kodi (IRE)
Second foal, dam unraced half-sister to useful 2-y-o 5f winner (stayed 7f) Primo Lady. Stamina doubts at this trip on debut.
Highwayman (FR)
Down the field all 4 starts in maidens but very much caught the eye when 4¼ lengths eighth of 15 to Listentodwindblow at Naas on latest, running on late from poor position. Half-brother to an 11f winner so step up in trip should be within his compass and he's open to further improvement.
Loch Gamhna (IRE)
Placed in a 7f maiden here on final outing at 2 yrs and seemed to excel himself when a never-nearer seventh of 13 in minor event (100/1) at Gowran (9.5f, good) last month. Place claims back in maiden company, with step up in trip likely to suit, but more exposed than most here.
Manntari (IRE)
Brother to 7.4f winner Sofian and half-brother to several winners, including 1¼m winner (stays 12.5f) Giselles Defence (by National Defense) and 5.5f/6f winner Olivia's Choice (by Elzaam). Dam maiden (stayed 1m).
Mr Ballynonty (IRE)
Shaped promisingly when 5 lengths third of 8 to Genche in maiden at Navan (1¼m, good to soft) in May. Failed to build on that next time, though, and first-time cheekpieces now applied as he bids to get back on track.
One Cool County (IRE)
Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 6f winner Preamble (by No Nay Never) and 7f winner (stays 1¼m) Sonoran (by Arizona). Dam unraced. Yard is not known for winning newcomers.
Swing Street
Golden Horn gelding. Showed nothing but greenness when last of 6 at Ballinrobe on debut and is presumably one for later on.
Yogini (IRE)
Waldgeist colt. Wore tongue strap and looked badly in need of experience when 10¾ lengths sixth of 10 to Believed in maiden at Dundalk on debut. Blinkers now added.
