POINT CARTWRIGHT has been shaping as though his turn is near and, with the return to a more suitable trip in his favour, is selected to belatedly confirm that promise. Sands Castle produced her best effort when runner-up at Ballinrobe and is feared most, while Wipeawayyourtears and Sir Trancealot are others to consider.

Timeform Comments

Sands Castle (IRE)
Got back on track when 3¼ lengths second of 14 to Rodeo Blues in handicap at Ballinrobe last time. Races off same mark here and, with a decent-value 7 lb apprentice booked, she holds solid claims if backing up her previous effort.
Sir Trancealot (IRE)
Stepped up on maiden form in handicaps on last 2 starts, finishing a close third to Wipeawayyourtears at Fairyhouse before running to a similar level when 7¾ lengths fifth of 16 to Private Larry at Bellewstown last time. Capable of being in the mix if the addition of blinkers has a positive impact.
Wipeawayyourtears (IRE)
Continued a gradual theme of progression in handicaps when winning a 17-runner event at Fairyhouse last time by 1½ lengths from Pebble Island. A 5 lb rise for that success is offset by booking of apprentice that has ridden her twice already this season.
Chicago Moon (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who wasn't seen to best effect when 2 lengths fifth of 11 to Femme Beauty at Killarney on handicap debut in May. First-time cheekpieces applied and may still have more to offer.
Point Cartwright (IRE)
Space Blues gelding who is going the right way in handicaps, chasing home a fellow improver in 1½m event at Limerick in June before being caught out by the shorter trip when length third of 16 to Rodeo Blues at Naas last time. Up 3 lb but will relish step back up in trip and looks a big player.
Guildhall Graduate (IRE)
Hinted at more ability in handful of maidens as a juvenile but hasn't kicked on in handicaps this year for all she fared a bit better than previously this season when 5 lengths seventh of 17 to Wipeawayyourtears at Fairyhouse last time. Improvement required.
Cameclose (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who made more of an impact dropped to a claimer when second at Ballinrobe last month. Has been given a chance by the handicapper but likely to find this too competitive.
Flagstone Lady (IRE)
Looked a work in progress in a trio of maidens but proved disappointing when 23 lengths thirteenth of 14 to Rodeo Blues in handicap at Ballinrobe last time.
Tintinabulla (IRE)
Well held all 3 starts in maidens and significant improvement required if she's to make an impact now tackling a handicap.
Augusta Rock (IRE)
Australia colt that hasn't cut much ice in a quartet on outings, including on handicap debut last time. First-time visor now applied and needs to leave previous form well behind if he's to feature.
No Bother Aoife (IRE)
Maiden that has hinted at better to come on more than one occasion and posted best effort to date when 7¾ lengths fourth of 16 to Private Larry in handicap at Bellewstown last time.
Polanco (IRE)
Little impact in maidens/handicaps up to 7.5f. Tackles middle-distances for the first time.
Stonyfalls (IRE)
Made more impact than previously when 6 lengths third of 15 to Dream Legend in 1m handicap at Bellewstown last time. Bred to stay middle-distances so discounted now upped markedly in trip.
Cadreville (IRE)
Has made more impact tackling middle-distances on his last 2 starts, posting his best effort to date when 4½ lengths fifth of 16 to Rodeo Blues at Naas last time. This requires more, though.
Canon Law (IRE)
Lightly-raced gelding who left the impression he should have finished closer when 6½ lengths sixth of 16 to Rodeo Blues at Naas last time, keeping on when forced to switch more than once in the closing stages. Not sure to back that effort up now, however.
