HOMELAND ran his best race for present connections when third at Chepstow in June and having possibly found the race coming too soon when fourth back there last time, he could be worth siding with having been given more time ahead of this. 3-y-os Madame Passant and Ibiza Lights are others to consider, along with Havana Tobouggaloo.

Timeform Comments

Havana Tobouggaloo
Maiden who went very close to making a successful debut for this yard at Bath on return, pulling clear with a subsequent winner. Disappointed next time but left poorly placed when fifth in a C&D handicap on latest outing 3 weeks ago. Not dismissed having edged back down the weights.
Racing Demon
Last success came at Bath (1m) back in 2024 but he posted one of his better performances when edged out late on at Chepstow in June. Shaped as if still in good form when keeping on fifth over 1m here since but his issues at the start mean he's tricky to recommend as a betting proposition.
Homeland
Winner at Ripon last July for Michael Dods and best effort for present yard following 6 months off when third at Chepstow (1m) in June. Possible a 9-day turnaround caught him out when fourth over same C&D next time and better can be expected here.
Praise Indeed
Not much impact in maiden/novice events for Tom Ward last season and she failed to improve after 11 months off/for new yard when seventh of 10 in handicap at Chepstow (1m) 4 weeks ago. Steps up in trip now with work to do.
Gert Lush (IRE)
Dropped to a handy mark and posted best effort for some time when second over this trip at Leicester in May. However, followed that with a poor display at Windsor (11.5f) 6 weeks ago. Must bounce back.
Hammal (IRE)
Low-key start for current connections after a lengthy absence, again finishing well held eased further in class at Bath (1m) 2 weeks ago. Passed over up in trip.
Prophet Squeeze (IRE)
No show over jumps and similar story in trio of novice/maiden contests on Flat for new yard this summer. Switch to handicaps will suit better but good deal of improvement required if she's to feature.
Madame Passant (FR)
Didn't show a great deal in trio fo 1m maidens but offered something to work on making handicap debut over this trip when third at Chepstow 17 days ago, taking time to fully open up given how the race developed. Could be worth chancing to build on that.
Ibiza Lights (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who posted easily her best effort yet with a first-time visor applied when second of 7 in a classified contest at Yarmouth (1¼m, good to firm) 18 days ago. Needs to build on that back in a handicap.
