Preference is for MUSICAL SOLDIER who is developing a good record over this trip, just bumping into a progressive type at Chepstow last week. He is taken to resume winning ways, though the in-form Lope Y Linda could be thereabouts once more, with Gal also considered.

Having a first try at 7f, got off the mark at Wolverhampton in May and has run well all 3 starts over this trip since, bouncing back from a lesser effort over 1m when runner-up at Chepstow 6 days ago. Leading contender.
Lope Y Linda
Gained a first success in handicap at Catterick in May and also scored in minor event at Ayr last month. Good effort when runner-up back in handicap company at Ayr 9 days ago and she can make her presence felt.
Auspicious
Showed a willing attitude when doubling his tally at Redcar (6f) in May. Went close at Carlisle next time, but back at Redcar he saw his run of good form coming to a halt when well held last time.
Gal (IRE)
Making first start since recruited from Ireland, produced best effort when third on handicap debut at Bath on return. Not ideally placed when sixth of 11 at Windsor (6f) 22 days ago, so she could yet build on her reappearance effort back up in trip.
Arvana Belle (IRE)
Made a successful nursery debut at Brighton last season and progressed in defeat on remaining 2 starts of the campaign. However, has finished down the field all 3 outings this season. Blinkers need to help spark a revival.
Poetic Grace (IRE)
Has made more impact switched to handicaps this season, making the frame over 1m/7f on first 3 outings of the campaign. Ran poorly dropped to 6f when fifth of 7 at Brighton 5 weeks ago, but she could fare better back up in trip.
