MELODY DE VEGA looked well suited to 1¼m at Ripon last time and is given a chance to build on that promising run. Although Hot Silk failed to take a step forward on her handicap debut she retains potential and might be the one for the forecast spot.

Timeform Comments

Imola (IRE)
Three all-weather wins this year, including at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in June. Creditable fourth next time and worth forgiving a lesser run there last time as she was left poorly placed. This a rare turf start for but she was runner-up at Chepstow in 2024.
Melody De Vega (IRE)
Fair maiden who was tackling turf and 1¼m for only a second time when runner-up at Ripon (good to firm) 27 days ago. Should go well off the same mark.
Fille Imbassee
Ended her time with Marco Botti with breakthrough win at Lingfield in January and struck at the fifth time of asking for Julie Camacho in a small-field race over C&D (good to firm) 19 days ago. Did that comfortably but it was a weak affair.
Hot Silk
Too Darn Hot filly who failed to improve at the first time of asking in handicaps when fourth of 5 over 11.4f at Windsor (good to firm) 17 days ago but it's still early days with her.
Bergamo Gold (IRE)
Won twice on all-weather in March but well held last 2 starts, including when last of 8 on turf debut at Redcar in May. An 8-week break needs to have had a reviving effect.
