LUKER'S TIPPLE doesn't find much for pressure but in a race like this, he may not need to, He's therefore tentatively selected to shed his maiden status with Liceo and G N Jefferson a couple of potential threats.

Timeform Comments

Liceo (FR)
Stepped up markedly on reappearance when third of 15 in handicap hurdle at Tramore (2m) in May and shaped as though still in good form when fifth over C&D a month ago. Must concede weight all round back in maiden company.
Your Call (IRE)
Fair winner on the Flat (stays 1m) for Noel Meade, though didn't progress in juvenile hurdles for new yard last year and offered little from a tough opening mark over C&D in March, Off since.
Fortis Et Liber
£12,000 3-y-o, first foal, dam, fairly useful hurdler (2¾m winner), half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 2½m) Cheddleton. Runner-up once from 5 starts in points, unplaced last time (May 23).
Fuusland (IRE)
Jet Away gelding. Dam (h84), bumper/2½m hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdle winner/useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Mount Pelier and fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3½m) Legends Gold. Swerved and unseated rider at the first on last week's debut.
G N Jefferson
Dead-heated for third on the second of 2 starts in points. Offered little despite being sent off at just 7/1 in Aintree bumper for Jack Teal in May. This will reveal more now hurdling for a respected stable.
Jet Renegade (IRE)
Failed to progress in bumpers but Flat runs weren't devoid of promise and he showed more than he did on hurdles debut when fourth of 14 over 19f here fitted with a tongue tie a month ago.
Luker's Tipple (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who took his total of placed efforts in this sphere to 9 when third in a Limerick maiden (2m) in May. Fourth at Roscommon since and while he's not one for maximum faith, this does look a good opening.
Direct Approach (IRE)
Fair but temperamental maiden on the Flat for Donnacha Aidan O'Brien. Laboured effort when ninth of 13 in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown in December. Off since and must leave that effort well behind.
Mytommy (FR)
Castle Du Berlais gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fair hurdle winner/fairly useful chaser Enrichissant and dual French bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Dont Hesitate. Dam maiden bumper performer in France. No impact on last month's debut.
