Timeform View

Successful over C&D on return, SEA OF DOUBT arrives on the back of a good effort over fences and is taken to double her tally back in this discipline. Heading the list of dangers is Sneddy Eddie, who could still have more to offer making only his second start for Gordon Elliott, ahead of Gortmore Lady.

Timeform Comments

Sea Of Doubt (IRE)
Off the mark in C&D handicap on return and soon left behind a lesser effort when runner-up in novice here last month. Ran well over fences when third of 14 at Wexford 2 weeks ago, so she's a major player back over hurdles at this venue.
Bryson (IRE)
Has shown improved form in his 2 completed handicap starts, getting back on track after unseating rider on return when second of 14 over this C&D a month ago, travelling as well as any. Task is now to build on latest effort.
Broken Ice (IRE)
Ended long losing sequence in 3m handicap hurdle at Perth last summer. After a run over the cross-country fences, step back in the right direction returned to hurdling when fifth of 14 at Wexford (17f) later in May. On a handy mark with tongue strap reapplied.
Small Bucks (IRE)
Successful at Cork last summer but wasn't in the same form next 3 starts. Better signs on first 2 outings this season, making the frame over C&D, but lesser effort at Clonmel last month. She's now only 1 lb above her winning mark, though.
My Mate Tony (IRE)
Remains a maiden and hasn't stood much racing of late, running poorly both starts in handicaps this season (in first-time tongue strap on latest outing 11 days ago).
Sneddy Eddie (IRE)
Fair winning handicapper on the Flat at best. After making only one start for D. Broad, showed more than previously over hurdles sent handicapping when fifth of 14 at Wexford 11 days ago. Merits consideration with Jack Kennedy taking over in the saddle.
Turkey And Ham (IRE)
Opened account in 15-runner handicap at Kilbeggan (2¼m) last spring. Has had only the 2 races since, possibly still needing the outing (tried in cheekpieces) when tailed off at Cartmel (2¾m) 18 days ago. This run should reveal more.
Trixaboutmaisie (IRE)
Bred to be a stayer and made little impact in a trio of maiden hurdles last year, tailed off at Wexford (2½m) when last seen in October. Has plenty to find as she goes handicapping after 8 months off.
Centaq (IRE)
Runner-up 3 times in handicaps last season, including twice at this course. Has struggled for consistency of late, though, making the frame over 19f here in May before a below-par run over C&D on latest outing.
Firstupbestdressed (IRE)
Finished closer than previously over hurdles when sixth of 16 on handicap debut at Sligo last summer. Sent chasing, unseated rider early here on final outing of the campaign (placed once from 3 starts in points this year). Tongue strap added on first run since leaving Conor David Maxwell.
Sekakarma (IRE)
Shaped with some encouragement after 5 months off when fifth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (2m) in May. Failed to back that up when well beaten at Listowel (2½m) later the same month, though the return to a shorter trip could help here.
Gortmore Lady (IRE)
Still looking for a breakthrough success and finished well held making second start for current yard at Limerick (23f) 12 days ago. However, she's eased further in the weights so is one to note dropped back in trip with cheekpieces applied.
Volez Vous (IRE)
Recorded back-to-back handicap hurdle wins at Clonmel in early-2025 but failed to take to chasing last season. However, she hasn't gone with much promise back hurdling in 2 starts for current yard, returning from 10 weeks off at this course (2¾m) last month.
Glenriver (IRE)
Made the frame on handicap debut at this course (19f) in April 2024 for Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, but lost his way afterwards. Not seen under Rules for 21 months (pulled up all 3 starts in points early this year) ahead of first run for new yard. Tongue strap fitted.
Stormy Jenn (IRE)
Losing run is mounting up but made the frame 3 times last season. Isn't the easiest to catch right, though, failing to complete (fell at the fifth) on return from 6 months off at Tramore in May. Cheekpieces back on.
Kalsman (IRE)
Course winner (2¾m) who doubled his tally when making all in handicap at Down Royal (2½m) in April. Below form both starts in May, but shaped better on chasing debut when third of 6 in maiden here (3m) last time. RESERVE.
King Of The Greys (IRE)
Made the frame sole outing in points and showed more than previously over hurdles when eighth of 19 in 17f maiden at Down Royal in May. However, he ran no sort of race when pulled up in handicap over this C&D a month ago. Hood reached for. RESERVE.
Pahlavi (IRE)
Sole victory came over C&D last summer but has stuggled for form this season (over fences first 2 outings), in first-time blinkers when pulled up in 21f handicap at Sligo 2 days ago. RESERVE.
