Having run out a good winner on hurdles debut at Punchestown, LEMMY CAUTION very much shaped better than the bare result when third in a small-field event at Wexford later that month. Given a break ahead of this and remaining open to improvement, he gets the nod to get back on the up in first-time cheekpieces. Surfin Usa and the selection's stablemate Playtime head the dangers.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat who has showed similar form over hurdles, landing a Leopardstown maiden (2m) in March. Largely remained in good form since, placed twice prior to posting a good seventh in a big-field handicap at Bellewstown 10 days ago. Respected up in trip.
Lemmy Caution (FR)
£250,000 point winner who looked well served by the step up to 3m when making a winning hurdles debut at Punchestown (3m) in May. Not in same form in first-time blinkers last time but shaped better than distance beaten suggests and remains open to improvement. Cheekpieces on 1st time.
Surfin Usa (FR)
Runner-up on bumper debut at Sligo. Built on that promise at the second attempt when going with plenty of zip to win on hurdling debut here (2¾m) in June. This requires further progress but she couldn't be in better hands and that ought to be forthcoming.
Butch Coolidge (IRE)
Well-bred sort who left previous form well behind when winning maiden over this sort of trip at Tramore on return in May. Similar form when seventh in novice at this course (2¼m, good to firm, 9/2) 30 days ago and likely he remains capable of better.
Gangster Granny (IRE)
Building up a solid record at this track, resuming winning ways over C&D in May and matched that level when posting a good second here 31 days ago. Much more on her plate back in a novice on these terms but record here is an obvious plus.
Written In My Soul (IRE)
Modest maiden hurdler who has made no impact returned to the sphere this season, again pulled up at Roscommon (25f) 8 days ago. Hard to make a case for with blinkers now enlisted.
