Timeform View

Preference is for NAKASSAMA, who is improving fast all of a sudden and Noel Kelly's 6-y-o can make it 2 wins from his last 3 outings having gone like the best horse at the weights when narrowly denied at Cartmel recently. Cozone and Joya Del Mar both boast impressive records at this track so they look the biggest threats, with stable-switcher Caher Roes Den another worthy of a mention.

Timeform Comments

Mephisto (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick last August and got back on track with fitness assured from the Flat when fourth of 15 at Bellewstown (25f, good) 10 days ago. Each-way possibilities.
Nakassama (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat performer who landed a gamble over C&D last month and improved again from a mark a stone higher when narrowly denied at Cartmel (2¾m, good to soft) just over 2 weeks ago. Every chance he can regain the winning thread back here,
Ringdufferin (IRE)
C&D winner for Gordon Elliott back in 2023 who got back on track quickly reverted to fences when second of 14 at this course (19f, good to firm) last month. Needs to translate that back to hurdling if he's to feature.
Typical Thomas (IRE)
Ran better than for a while returned to hurdling but rather typically failed to see his race out fully when 10 lengths fourth of 11 to Cozone at this course (2¼m, good to firm) last month. Stamina to prove and others look stronger.
Cozone
Took advantage of a much-reduced mark in a 14-runner event over C&D in March and regained the winning thread back here (2¼m, good to firm) last month, staying on to lead final 100 yds having lost momentum briefly last. 7 lb higher but can feature.
Ivybrook (FR)
Bits and pieces of promise and wasn't given the hardest of times when tenth of 23 on handicap debut at Leopardstown (21f, good) when last seen 6 months ago. Best watched on return.
Andys Flame
Fair winning hurdler and chaser at his best, though lightly raced and little impact since 2024/25. Back hurdling with plenty to prove. First-time visor applied.
Joya Del Mar (IRE)
Bounced back to best to capitalise on a falling mark in decisive style over C&D in May and doubled her tally over C&D (good to firm) the following month. 7 lb rise demands more but clearly well suited to this track.
Tribal Moon (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat winner who offered little on his qualifying run when well-beaten third of 5 in novice hurdle at Cartmel (2¾m, good) last month. Tongue tie quickly reapplied and Flat form provides hope for better still now handicapping.
Eastern Wind
Won at Tipperary last spring and rather in-and-out under both codes since, sixth of 16 at Bellewstown (1½m, good) more recently 11 days ago. Back hurdling and more needed to feature upped in trip.
Oh Janey (IRE)
Steadily progressive in maiden hurdles and justified support to get off the mark on handicap debut here in October. Found things tough in Grade 3 novice at Down Royal later the same month and probably needed the run after 6 months off at Perth in May. Markedly upped in trip.
Morell River (IRE)
Made it 2-2 at Wexford (2½m) with a smooth-travelling success on her return from 6 months off in May. Ran at least as well in defeat when second of 13 at Punchestown (3m, good) last month and could yet have even more to offer from 1 lb higher.
Adaliz (GER)
Won handicaps at Clonmel and Tipperary in early-2025/26 and shaped as if needing the run after 10 months off when ninth of 16 at Punchestown (19f, good) recently. This should reveal more.
Boston Beach (IRE)
Standout effort when third of 16 in maiden hurdle at Listowel (18f, soft) back in September 2024. Little impact on handicap debut st Navan later that year and not seen since.
Caher Roes Den (IRE)
Promising start to life in handicaps when third at Wincanton back in October 2024 but no impact on both subsequent starts that season. Has since joined the all-conquering Wille Mullins so has to be watched closely on return.
Mickey Cohen (IRE)
Versatile type who justified support when making a winning chasing debut here last September. Ran another solid race when fourth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (21f, good) 2 days ago so not ruled out. RESERVE.
Fabhcun
Seems to be going the wrong way, first-time cheekpieces and a step up in trip doing nothing to help at Tramore in May. Makes handicap debut. RESERVE.
Tolka Row (IRE)
Ran best race when runner-up in Tramore novice (2¾m) on qualifying run in May but made a tame handicap debut at Bellewstown (25f, good) 10 days ago. RESERVE.
