Timeform View

The pair with previous experience aren't entirely convincing so it could pay to side with one of the newcomers. STARSHIP LILY appeals on paper for a stable enjoying a very good season and with the booking of Oisin Murphy catching the eye, she receives the vote. Splash would be a major player if replicating her Newmarket form from last autumn, while Rogue Exile is another newcomer to note.

Timeform Comments

Rogue Exile (IRE)
€27,000 yearling, Blue Point colt. Dam, useful German 8.5f/9f winner, half-sister to 1½m winner (stays 15f) Nemean Lion, also smart hurdler. Appeals on paper for very capable yard and market confidence behind him on debut would look significant.
Sterling Fortune
Kameko filly who stepped up on her debut effort aided by the run of the race when fifth in a C&D maiden in June. Not in quite the same form when filling same spot at Southwell (7f) 10 days ago but certainly no forlorn hope back on turf.
Splash
Ended 2025 with a much improved second at Newmarket (7f) in October, positive tactics away from a turning all-weather circuit seemingly the catalysts. Disappointed both starts so far this year, shaping as if amiss at Newbury 2 weeks ago. Still, she sets the standard of the pair with experience.
Spareapenny
Eqtidaar filly. Dam 5f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Betting can point the way on racecourse bow.
Starship Lily (IRE)
9,000 gns yearling, Starman filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful 2-y-o 5f winner Mojomaker and 6f winner Bona Fortuna. Makes appeal on paper and booking of Oisin Murphy certainly rates a signal of intent.
