This is a stronger race than DION BAKER has been contesting of late, yet he could hardly be in better heart right now, defying a penalty when making it 5 wins from his last 6 starts at Brighton 8 days ago. He shades preference over another course specialist and hat-trick seeking Gorgeous Mr George. Sea Suite is another to consider.

Timeform Comments

Gorgeous Mr George (IRE)
Tactically versatile sort who has registered all 5 of his career victories at this course, overcoming a pace bias as he made it 2 wins from as many starts over 1m here 3 weeks ago. Had more in hand than bare margins imply then and considered in hat-trick bid back at 7f.
Sea Suite (IRE)
Enjoying a good season and he didn't need to improve when doubling his career tally in a C&D handicap in May. Found run of good form coming to a halt back over 1m here when seventh behind Gorgeous Mr George 4 weeks ago but he's a likely type to bounce back.
Tryst (IRE)
Built on earlier promise when off the mark in a Wolverhampton novice in October. Resumed in good heart on all-weather this spring and excuses on turf last 2 starts, faced with softer ground than previously when last of 6 at Chester (10.3f, soft) 33 days ago. Cheekpieces go on back down in trip.
Izzy Fast
Lightly-raced filly who was a surprise winner of a 6f maiden here in April. Down the field in 2 handicaps next 2 starts but firmly stopped the slide when second of 8 in a C&D handicap 7 days ago, running on. Still unexposed at this trip and not discounted from unchanged mark.
Up The Agenda (IRE)
C&D winner who enhanced his already healthy strike rate in handicaps at Kempton (6f) in January. Hasn't returned from a break in same form, in trouble a long way out when eighth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (6f) 4 weeks ago. Visor now goes on and booking of Oisin Murphy certainly a positive.
Dion Baker (IRE)
Three-time C&D winner who is going through an excellent spell, making it 5 wins from his last 6 starts when defying a penalty in straightforward fashion from the front at Brighton (7f) 8 days ago. Likely to prove tough to peg back again in present groove under 4 lb penalty.
