A few of these arrive with a question mark against them so it could be worth siding with Tom Lacey's new recruit RAPID MISSION to capitalise on a potentially lenient mark and gain a first success in this sphere. Golden Circet could emerge as the main danger if translating his fair Flat form to this sphere, while Daring To Dream and Karthala also need factoring in.

Timeform Comments

Character Testing
Remains a maiden after 17 hurdling runs and only ninth in Flat handicap at Newcastle 18 days ago. Often let down by his jumping, and others are more persuasive.
Golden Circet (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on Flat, last seen when a creditable fourth at Brighton in May. Not at that level in 4 runs in this sphere, just fourth of 6 on handicap debut at Plumpton in March. Remains with some potential over hurdles though.
Colinski
Modest 1½m Flat winner. Best effort in 3 runs over hurdles when a never-dangerous third of 9 in novice at Hexham (2m) last month. Needs to build on it at these weights now going into handicaps.
Daring To Dream
Yet to score and only sixth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Taunton (2m) in April. Since had a breathing operation (also tongue tied) and no surprise to see her get back on track.
Louie The Legend (IRE)
Dual 7f/1m winner on the Flat but last of 9 at Chepstow 30 days ago. Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles and needs to take a big step forward.
Karthala
Maiden on Flat and over hurdles. Comes here in decent nick, though went in snatches when fourth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (2½m) 14 days ago. Possibilities.
Giddyupadingdong (IRE)
Made a winning debut in bumpers for Milton Harris in 2023. Lightly raced and well held over hurdles since until posting a solid third of 12 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (2m) 29 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Rapid Mission
Maiden hurdler. Took a step back in right direction in first-time cheekpieces when fourth of 13 in handicap at Chepstow (19f) in April on his final run for Syd Hosie. Weighted to go well for his new handler after a break.
Brenda Lady
Has twice finished well held since a debut hurdling fourth at Ffos Las in May, beating one in novice at Bangor (2½m) 19 days ago. Makes handicap debut.
Battle Stride (USA)
Modest at best on Flat for Michael Bell. Good hurdles fourth for current yard at Stratford (2m) in October but well held both subsequent starts. Off 8 months here.
Littletown Lad (IRE)
Fourth in a bumper for Daragh Bourke last April. Well held since over hurdles for current yard, seventh of 11 in handicap at Southwell (2m) last month.
Lady Fortune (IRE)
Hooded when gaining a first win (having had a breathing operation) in 21f handicap at Market Rasen in May. Left with too much to do when a good fourth of 10 there (23f) 26 days ago on final run for David Killahena & Graeme McPherson. Not out of things for another new yard.
Granny B (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 18 runs and only fifth of 6 in handicap hurdle at Warwick (2m) 42 days ago. Much more is needed in a refitted hood.
