Timeform View

SUNRAY SHADOW is in fine form and looks hard to oppose switched back to fences having twice run well over hurdles since his winning chasing debut. Samuel Spade can follow him home granted he produced a sound round of jumping.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sunray Shadow traded at a low of 4.40 and Betfair SP of 7.20 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Sony Bill (FR)
Improved efforts over hurdles in listed handicaps during the spring, including when fifth of 17 at Punchestown Festival (21f). Only fourth of 12 in maiden at Ballinrobe (17f) on chase bow and failed to convince on yard debut (left W. P. Mullins 64,000 gns) here last time. Bit to prove.
La Pinsonniere (FR)
Ex-French performer who had her run of placings over hurdles halted when mid-field at Haydock (3m, good) in May. Didn't really convince on her first British start over fences when third of 4 in handicap chase at Newton Abbot (3¼m, good) 33 days ago, her jumping lacking conviction. Headgear back on.
Sunray Shadow
Scored over hurdles at Huntingdon prior to following up with a fair bit in hand on chase debut at Worcester in May (beat Samuel Spade by over 30 lengths). Completed the hat-trick back hurdling at Worcester next time and ran at least as well when third Uttoxeter since. The one to beat back chasing.
Samuel Spade (GER)
Not the most fluent of hurdlers and he perhaps predictably found the fences getting in his way when well beaten by Sunray Shadow on chase debut. Jumped much better when scoring at Worcester 2 weeks and did well to finish as close as he did having been badly hampered early at Uttoxeter last time.
