ASK A SAINTE is still one to be interested in on the back of his C&D win earlier in the summer and he makes most appeal ahead of Ip Up, who responded well to a change of tactics at Market Rasen last time. Machete Beach would also rate as a player if able to bounce back from a disappointing effort last time.

Timeform Comments

Romany Brown (IRE)
Off the mark in a 16-runner Killarney maiden hurdle (17f) on final outing for previous connections last May. Having changed hands for £42,000 the following month, he proved rather disappointing on his 2 completed starts (fell when last seen) for this yard later in 2025. Opposable after 8 months off.
An Bradan Feasa (IRE)
Dual winner over hurdles last autumn prior to scoring on the Flat at Chelmsford. Second on the Flat at Lingfield (all-weather) after a break in May and though he made no impression over hurdles next time, he quickly returned to form when filling the same position on the turf course there last month.
King Ulanda (IRE)
Patchy form of late, though he ran out a wide margin winner of a 6-runner handicap at Bangor (17f) on chasing debut in May. That race rather fell apart and he wasn't in the same form when fourth of 5 in handicap chase at this course (2m) 32 days ago. 6 lb lower now back over hurdles.
Machete Beach
Fairly useful Flat performer who made it 2 wins from 3 over hurdles when defying a penalty in a Stratford novice (19f) last time in May. Ran badly when last of 3 in 2m handicap there last time but had progressing well prior to that flop, so not ruled out if able to bounce back.
Ip Up (FR)
Snapped a long losing streak when winning a 4-runner handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (17f, good) 33 days ago, settling better for the switch to patient tactics before finding plenty in the closing stages to lead close home. Up just 1 lb and she can go well again.
Ask A Sainte
Modest form at best for David Brace but an improved model for new yard, scoring at C&D in May. On the back foot after making a bad mistake early when runner-up on chasing debut at Market Rasen (19f, good) last time but he can improve further back hurdling from mark 7 lb higher than for recent win.
St Just In Time
Fair maiden on the level and promise whilst looking a work in progress in juvenile/maiden hurdles for Sir Mark Todd during first half of 2024. Went very close on handicap debut for this yard on sole start in 2025 but well held on 2 recent comeback runs on the Flat. Tongue tie on for hurdles return.
