Timeform View

This looks quite an open race on paper but the eye is drawn to the unexposed pair HOW'STHEBAI and Loughrea. Preference is for the former, whose form has been well advertised this season, with the latter interesting now switching to handicaps. The class-dropping Aviatrice can't be discounted out of hand, either.

Timeform Comments

Aviatrice (IRE)
Versatile sort who beat a now-smart performer when landing a listed race at Dundalk last November and has returned in good heart with a pair of third-placed finished in competitive Curragh handicaps this year. Holds every chance dropped further in grade.
Loughrea (IRE)
Improving sort who got off the mark at the third time of asking in a 1m Curragh maiden in June. That performance can be marked up given he raced close to a strong pace (all out to hold on). Looks sure to be firmly in the mix on handicap debut.
Exquisite Acclaim (IRE)
Resumed winning ways at Dundalk in January. Had dropped below last winning mark and back to form when third at Fairyhouse (7f, good, 16/1) 8 days ago. Steps back down in grade here.
How'sthebai (IRE)
Progressive sort who won 9f handicap at Leopardstown in June. Ran at least as well in defeat when fourth at the Curragh from a 9 lb higher mark last time. His form this season reads well and, with his yard in good nick, this unexposed sort can go well again.
Quatre Bras (IRE)
Made a fine return to the turf when runner-up at Naas in March but hasn't gone on since. Remains capable from this mark but needs to show more before becoming of interest.
Invincible Will (IRE)
Resumed progress to land a 7f handicap at the Curragh in May by a short head from a next-time-out winner. Quickly back on track when second at this course last week. Steps back up in trip and worth another chance from this mark.
Tachos (IRE)
Course winner who seems to be working his way back to form. Finished in mid-field in 20-runner handicap at the Curragh last time having met some trouble at a crucial point. Edges further down the weights but this is competitive.
