SEA MIRAGE sets the standard based on his second at Leicester in May and he is worth forgiving a below-par run a month ago. Having been gelded since, he is taken to resume his progress and see off the challenge of Maximus Meridius, who made a promising debut at Ayr, with Baldetti also open to improvement.

Timeform Comments

Baldetti (IRE)
Half-brother to 3 winners and offered something to work on when third of 10 in maiden at Leicester (5f) on debut in May, 2¼ lengths behind Sea Mirage in second. Enters calculations with his first run behind him.
Sea Mirage (IRE)
Left debut form well behind when runner-up in a Leicester maiden (5f) in May, before shaping as if amiss when well held at Hamilton last time. No surprise to see him bounce back having been gelded ahead of going up in trip.
Turnstile
Fair maiden who was a good third of 15 in seller at York in June. Possibly found the race coming too soon after 4 days off when well held in similar event at Leicester last time but will need to find some progress in this contest.
King Of Persia
Has shaped as if one for the longer term in his 2 starts so far, though met trouble in running when seventh of 11 in maiden at Carlisle (7f) 23 days ago. Needs another run for a handicap mark.
Maximus Meridius (IRE)
Made an encouraging start to his career when second of 6 in maiden at Ayr last month, beaten only by the well-backed favourite. Respected with improvement to come.
Angel In My Heart (IRE)
Showed ability making her first start when fourth of 6 in novice at Catterick (5f) 9 days ago. Task is now to build on that effort as she goes up in trip.
Dawlah (IRE)
Foaled May 3. 17,000 gns yearling, 3,500 gns 2-y-o, Naval Crown filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 5.5f winner Havana Angel and 1m winner Foothold. Dam 1½m winner who stayed 2m. Wears hood for debut.
