ALFA WHITEBURD landed a bit of a touch when bolting up at Chester last week and remaining well treated on old form under a penalty, Ivan Furtado's 5-y-o is expected to take some stopping. Dicko The Legend requires luck in-running given his slow-starting tendencies, but he's put forward as the main danger, with Mr Cool completing the shortlist following a good second at Carlisle last week.

Timeform Comments

Alfa Whiteburd (IRE)
Made a promising return at Southwell last month and responded well to a positive ride to exploit a lower turf mark in impressive fashion in 10-runner event at Chester (7f, good to firm) last week, drawing clear from home turn. Back sprinting and likely to take some catching under a penalty.
Dicko The Legend (IRE)
Successful at Wolverhampton and York last season and was unlucky not to win having met trouble at Southwell in April. Has looked back in decent nick the last twice making the frame so isn't one to discount, albeit he requires luck in-running given his slow-starting tendencies.
Dorney Lake
Got away on terms for a change and belatedly capitalised on his much-reduced mark in 10-runner event at Doncaster (5.6f, firm) last week, quickened to lead 2f out. Well treated on old form under a penalty but similarly to his stablemate, slow starts temper enthusiasm for a follow up.
Willolarupi (IRE)
Successful at Redcar (6f) last spring and he ended the campaign in reasonable form, keeping on for third in 13-runner event over C&D (soft) in October. Just 1 lb above last winning mark on return to action but others more appealing on balance.
Mr Cool (IRE)
Hasn't won for over a year but wasted no time getting back to form when second of 11 at Carlisle (6f, firm) last week. Form has been patchy this season so needs to back that up here.
One Of Our Own
Benefited from the drop back to 6f as she returned to winning ways in decisive fashion at Redcar in May. Kept on well under hands and heels when third of 12 there (6f, good to firm) later that month and she's not ruled out from unchanged mark.
