Timeform View

ROOSIKE showed plenty of ability behind an above-average pair boasting experience when third in a 5-runner Newbury novice 24 days ago and looking sure to improve for that initial outing, she could be the answer here. Bated Benevolence will find this much less demanding than her assignment at Royal Ascot and is feared, as is Sequel Star who rates another sure-fire improver from her debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

This could develop into a sprint for home, and Roosike could be well placed to capitalise: Of the better-fancied horses, Sequel Star is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Bated Benevolence
Bated Breath filly who ran out a decisive winner of a Nottingham maiden (6f) on debut in May. That form received a few boosts but she found things too tough in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f) 4 weeks ago. Carries a penalty here but return to calmer waters can see her competitive.
Hoosier (IRE)
€48,000 yearling, Starspangledbanner filly who went off the shortest of the newcomers but proved very green when fifth of 6 in a Wetherby novice (5.5f, firm) 6 weeks ago. This promises to reveal more.
Roosike (IRE)
Sioux Nation filly who proved easy to back but she showed ability when chasing home an above-average pair boasting experience in 5-runner Newbury novice (7f, firm) 24 days ago. Looks sure to improve for that effort and she's well worth considering.
Sequel Star (IRE)
Cotai Glory filly who is bred to be useful and came from much further back than the trio who beat her in a Newbury novice (6f) 24 days ago. Another who appeals as a sure-fire improver.
Expensive Luxury
Foaled April 6. 18,000 gns foal, Mohaather filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 7f/7.4f winner Liberty Bird. Dam useful German 7f winner out of half-sister to dam of Cheveley Park Stakes winner Lumiere. Leading yard are 13-44 with their 2-y-o debutants at the time of writing and the betting can guide.
Khazamh (IRE)
Green and well held in pair of 6f turf maidens in recent months. Probably one for handicaps in due course.
Veruca Salt
Foaled March 4. 20,000 gns yearling, Harry Angel filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 5f winner Havana Blast and 5f winner Argy Bhaji. Dam 5f winner. Wears tongue strap. Stable in red-hot form are 2-8 with 2-y-o debutants so far this season.
Leading Raya (IRE)
Nando Parrado filly. Dam, 1m winner, half-sister to useful 1m/8.3f winner Miss Marble out of 6f winner Lottie Dod. 250/1, no encouragement in novice at Windsor 39 days ago.
